So I just got a reminder from BMW of Minnetonka for their opening partay on Wednesday. Is anybody interested in going? I've not been yet so was thinking of stopping by...

I'm thinking of going. They should have their simulator all set up and running by then.

I stopped by last week and it wasn't running yet, but it is a M3 seat and wheel, seat has full motion control and will move with the simulator while driving. It has 3 46" screens (i think), looks like it will be pretty fun. I asked, but they didn't know what sim it is actually running.

Now that you mention it, I think I remember getting this a while back. Thanks for reminding me! I ordered a nose mask for the road trip tomorrow from them...

I never made it to the partay in Minnetonka unfortunately.

You ordered a nose mask for your car just for the trip?! That's dedication right there!!

I just spent the last 2 hours cleaning out the trunk and interior. Now onto the outside (wash, claybar, wash, polish, wax, maybe jetseal).

Yeah, I guess for all future road trips too. I've heard about fitment complaints, so we'll see. I may still arrive there covered in painters tape :P

My interior's good to go, just need to do the outside again. I only washed it Monday night, but it's amazing just how much dust sticks to it.

$500 savings card? So, basically $500 towards any parts or service? When did you get it? If I don't have it in the mail, can I just call them and ask if I have one? This sounds good man!

Yea it says 15% off discount (up to $500 savings).

So it's not really a $500 gift, you still would have to spend around $2800 at Motorwerks to use the full benefit. I suppose it would be nice if you had a big non-warranty repair bill or something. Still way cheaper to just order parts from Tischer though.

Edit: N/M just noticed the letter says you can't use the discount on repairs. Lame.

So I ordered a couple things for the car in the past few days. I bought a magnaflow muffler tip for a muffler delete mod, which it turned out great (thanks for the info Martin). I also bought the MOST iPod adapter from Tischer. I did the install myself today and it was very easy (thanks to the DIY guides from e90post). I brought my car over to JB Eurotech for the programming portion of the install. They were very professional and the programming was quick. I have been to their shop before for oil service and highly recommend these guys!

Today at about 4:45 I was going WB on I94, just outside of Hudson, when I noticed in the oncoming lane a bright blue E92. It was the brightest blue I'd ever seen! Like woh! BMW came out with a crazy/weird baby blue color?! As it got closer, it became clear.

It was Gary with his painter's tape front bumper! haha
