honestly i have spent no money on that car other than normal maintenance (oil changes, filters ect). We (my fam) bought the X5 brand new, and it honestly has been the most reliable car we have ever had (745li, 330xi, porsche cayman, mercedes ml350). A friend of mine has a 2002 X5 with over 175k miles clocked and the only problem he has had was a recent water pump replacement. Another thing to note may be my X5 only has around 70k miles.

Bump, who has snow accumulation?

Amherst is looking great so far. I swear the foam bath pics of cars I post to the internet in a random fashion periodically is the key to keeping the ground from going white.

Friend of mine from the Rochester area said they're also expecting some later today.

I went to RIT for college .... there's a reason I'm not so fond of the winter anymore. LOL. 4 of those almost put me away.

Do you still do details in the winter?

I grew up outside Rochester, when I moved to Buffalo for school myself, I just kept thinking "this is it?". Though Buffalo has the most annoying wind (11teen billion MPH 360 degrees) I have ever experienced in my life in winter.

Yea I am still detailing in winter. It typically slows into maintenance and winter preps but I have been about 55% correction, 35%winter prep, 10% maintenance top ups right through today so I can't complain. I have a hard time letting cars go without correcting at least something.

I am very fortunate to have people like you and Nic and all my other awesome customers appreciate the work and actually want to take care of your rides..

Speaking of winter prep I have something for you to try coming with your stuff, Nics car is wearing it now(and I will do the quick writeup on it and maybe some others this weekend).

Definitely interested!!

Rochester had a lot of wind ... flat as a pancake and snow drifts everywhere. I had a Subaru when I was in college and really appreciated it sometimes.

Bump, nice day!

No updates yet but today I went to inspect another Bimmer fanatic's ride in for winter prep. I will let him know we have a thread lol, not sure if he is on the forums or not.

Also your car is wearing ______ which may become an addition to the house line - AutoGlos paste wax(or some super awesome name). I am not sure. I figured CJ can give it a Philly test if he wants to top coat his whip.

I am doing half the tin can in winter prep, half not and will take pics after being out driving for a couple weeks, should be pretty cool. Ok, well not all half, but one side of wheels, one half of a couple areas that are known to get really gunky.

annnnddd I will start working on pics of random stuff if its any sort of entertaining

Post a link to that stuff Mike, I'll take a look at it. If there's one warmish weekend I won't hesitate to do a semi-serious detail!

Charles interesting to see you are intrigued by Mini Coopers too!

I just looked at all the customization options ... wow that car is awesome. I might seriously consider one. I need to research how they do at the track. Looks like one hell of a fun car.

I haven't but know people who have. Drone city, and it doesn't sound good. Just loud. I recommend against doing it. The Vanguard exhaust for the N54 sounds good, so does the Autobahn Exotics. N54 power/exhaust forum: http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=58
Lots of videos in there.

You can always consider a Countryman!! It's bigger and has optional 4wd.

I agree the Clubman is just damn ugly... The proportions are all messed up!
