I understand. Is there a timeframe on the map release? 1 week? 2? another month? Just trying to gauge on how I should mod my car in that timeframe.

It's something that people can do themselves with the help of a boost gauge if they had too. But making a plug-in map for everyone to use, in all conditions, is a bit tougher.

And don't try to eliminate top end boost taper completely. It will always be there and is a function of turbo capacity.

You made my point. You don't eliminate top end taper when running factory cats simply because there is too much backpressure generated in the exhaust manifolds. But when you go catless, you can sustain a much higher pressure ratio (less boost taper) simply because the pressure differential on both sides of the turbine housing is so much more friendly for the engine. It's called exhaust gas reversion. It's bad. Try to avoid it.

Will it make a difference with the secondary cat deleted...instead of the primary cat??

Agreed on the ocha point, I am not for kid gloving shiv but you put forth a ton of negative noise and very little constructive information. I understand you feel wronged and embarked on this crusade but you aren't adding much value. You are definately knowledgeable and all that energy could be used for furthering this platform rather than trying to papercut a tuner to death.

those aren't conflicting statements.

1) DP map has less top end boost taper.........so it still has some
2) Don't try to eliminate the boost taper

he said less boost taper, not NO boost taper

When you have a legitimate issue and are completely ignored for months I'm sure you will respond the same way. If the only way to get answers and solutions is to shine a bright negative light that's what I will do.

Don't get me wrong I would love to go about it the "mature way" but that's just not possible.

I read it as "Don't try to eliminate boost taper with user tq values" and "Can be done by eliminating boost taper with user torque values"

Besides all I was doing was trying to be sure.

i think everyone needs to chill...if you dont have something to add to help the situation...dont bother with opninons. if scalberts looking into it we'll hopefully get some answers.

For myself i really hope there is no conspiracy...i posted the same observations ocha had....made me worry and wanted some answers....and i think were entitled to them. No reason for a 1k part to screw up a 50k car with myself having another 25k in mods. I really didnt want this to get out of hand like this, but i think vishnu shouldnt have been so defensive and aggresive to their customers, i understand they have to read tons of negativity and childish comments from many users on this forum when they dont get an answer to their ridiculous questions in 5 mintues. But ocha had a legitmate question and observation for a while now and nothing ws done. now that more people have caught on to this discrepency it lit more flames. Everyone needs to breathe easy and hopefully all will end well. Im hoping there is no conspiracy and the gauges are misrepresenting whats really going on with the boost. Like scalbert said there maybe other explanations. hopefully he'll find it and we'll all be alot happier. keep your heads up playas...ha im not ghetto just messin around try and lighten the mood.

+1, he does provide useful info. Also, as a plus, have you seen his paint skills?

Thanks for the update, Shiv. Please keep us posted.

What do you mean that we could do this ourselves (dp map) if we have a boost gauge? How? Can we just up the torque settings in the high rpms now?
