I'll be in Friday night - probably meet with you guys for the photoshoot if I'm back in time. Then I'll be at the meet on Saturday @ 1pm till about 3:30-4pm then off to the Sox game that night. Then leaving Sunday around noon.

i dunno. i get the general idea of doing this from reading the threads. so i guess my only things are just what tips i should be looking, which shop i should go to and some other things i should know before getting this done..and a few questions i guess. oh and i wanted to hear your car again. i wasnt paying attention much last time.

well, I had to have about 1/5-2ft of custom piping made to get the tips to fit where the muffler gets cut off so keep that in mind. Find a nice set of tips, don't get cheapo ones cuz you'll have to replace them in a year when they start to rust like mine did. I'd just take it to A&L and let them do it.

i'm looking to get tips about the size of the performance ones. do you happen to know the size of that?

my other concern would be if i will notice at low speeds/rpms. i usually cruise at 2-3k. ive been hearing that you lose low end torque, is that what they mean? oh and mine is also auto. i dunno if thats gonna change anything.

no you wont lose torque at least nothing substantial. back pressure isn't torque, don't mistake the two. besides if you get the ecu tune it wont matter. i think my tips are like 3 inches (89mm?) so thats a pretty good, large sized tip.

seth, what tips do you have?
and if i were to get sick of the sound for any reason (which i highly doubt) what would i need to do to get stock back? im sure itll be hard and a headache.

hahaha actually no.

Actually reversing it is cheaper than putting it on. You can take you muffler over to any Midas or Car-X and just have them cut the extra tubing off and weld back on the muffler... shouldn't be more than $50 or so.

I have some cheap ass Chrome tips from Hooker Headers (think I got them on summit racing for $50). I'm gonna replace them soon with some nice borla ones and paint them BEFORE I put them on the car.
