Offtopic and sorry for the thread jack... Can you use this programming cable to read / clear codes? Just wondering if this can replace my BT Cable. Thx

Yes you can. You need INPA; it's far less user-friendly than BT's software (it doesn't have the nice explanations of codes, etc - it just lists them), but it DOES work as a replacement.

Anyone try to use this to code out (or whatever the proper term is) to allow upgrade from halogens to xenon? Got a halogen car and want to upgrade to xenons. I've got the DEPO upgrade but have the usual errors. Also have a set of OEM adaptive xenons as well that I would like to put on the car. Now, I know the adaptive part won't work (no headlight levelers, etc.), but was wondering if your car could be coded to allow the use of OEM xenons on halogen cars. It seems, at least looking at the spreadsheet, that there might be a way to turn-off the adaptive module to avoid an error that way, but was curious if any other errors could be coded out, included the 35w vs. 55w issue with xenons and halogens.
Anyone try it yet? |

This tells that car that Xenon lights are installed but are non-adaptive (move left and right). All xenons from the factory have a self levelling module and you will get this error after you did the coding. Using NCS, you then have to go into the code and manually turn off the self levelling feature (removes the check). Also, this will disable your haloge high beam (from halogen car) but can be turned on using a code in the spreadsheet provided (search for xenon and halogen used as high beam). This is what I have gathered, I haven't tried it yet, but I am sure this will work. I am just trying to find the coding line that disable the leveling module. But I believe this is the proper way to go with OEM parts. |

Still trying to find the value(s) for the CIC. I have found a check which removes what gear the car is in, but the minute you start to drive the check comes back. I assume it's in the CIC module. Here is my CIC trk file

whats the chances of messing things up while having a performance ecu flash. i am farly new to this thread and i am very interested in coding my vehicle but i don't want to run into any problems with my flash. i mean can the average joe be able to do this on his own with no problems. i'm going to have an Active Autowerke Tune once i'm back in town. the best thing i think is to get the car coded first then the tune but the tune is on a promotional discount right now, so my eyes are on that at the moment.

Any of you guys have these modules?
63BMO FLA MEDIA PDC I have them but I can't access them with any of the available DATEN files in this thread. MEDIA might be the key for DVD-in-motion? |

Not sure who did it, but looks like they didn't delete it, just shrunk the column so you couldn't see it. I just re-sized it.

Just FYI,
My passenger seatbelt warning was: SBR_BEIFAHRER_2_CD not sure what the 2_CD is. Could this possibly be the passenger occupancy sensor? SBR_SENSOR_BEIFAHRER_MCD I'm so happy to have the seat belt chime gone! |
