Seller took a major L on this one. 2007 328iT 6MT, Black/Terra, low options- sold in Jan '22 for nearly $27K by 1600Veloce, sold today for $18K from a lesser known dealer.

Big market correction, or did this one just sell really strong in '22? Probably a bit of both.

Base model and no options.
The same car being sold by a random seller also won’t sell for as much as a car being sold by 1600veloce.

I think that car was originally on Craigslist for a few weeks/months and posted here. It was about $6k and needed some tlc. Everyone talked down on it and next thing you know, it sold for $27k.

He blasts the underside with dry ice & buyers think they’re getting a 15-year old rustbelt car they can work on without torches grinders and dremels….

Anyone know the story with VIN WBAUU3C59CA543356? Popped up on BaT today with sports seats and a manual, which it definitely did not leave the factory with, though the seller hasn't noted that those are modifications (that or BaT pulled a BaT and didn't pass that info along in the listing).

Anyone here had experience with that wagon? Interested in the story.

Owner said seats were installed by local shop and coded properly. He is not aware on Gearbox swap.

If you Google the vin there are pictures of it with an auto. The Carfax shows it sat for 5 years or so in Miami, weird. I can already tell it does not have the proper transmission shield.

The sport steering wheel is the easiest piece to swap over when doing a sport conversion.

Especially considering there’s no AWD Sport Package suspension parts to swap….

A heated non-paddle sport steering wheel in good shape is impossible to find. I had to settle for a paddled version for my wagon even though I'm swapping to a manual this summer.

Almost all of them on the second-hand market get turned into donor wheels for the aftermarket folks to recover into something else.

My wagon with sport and heating package had a paddle heated wheel and I swapped to a manual trans and swapped wheel to a non heated sport wheel. The original heated wheel was still not the thicker wheel with thumb grips that the sport wheel has. I'm in FL so a heated wheel is pointless so not missing the heated wheel but enjoyed the non functioning paddles as fidget toys.

There’s a few of them on eBay that I see.

Quick note to say thanks to the members on here for their insights, recommendations and links to nice cars.

This lovely E91 M-Sport was posted on here a month or so ago and I ended up making the deal and having it shipped over from WI to MD.

Haven't been so happy with a car purchase in a long time - it's cleaner and better maintained than I could have imagined. The prior owner is an absolute gent and is probably a long-term friend now, and the car drives like it has 5,000 miles not 155,000. During the MD state inspection (notoriously strict), the inspector actually came to find me at pickup time to say "I usually hate working on german cars, especially older ones, but I can't believe how clean this one is. Then I saw the mileage and am still in shock"

Cheers
