The cobb unit seems to be right around 25/sec.
The procede, last time I checked, I believe was somewhere around 32ish/sec
The jb series is 10/sec last i checked

Based on that log, it looks like you captured 45 sample points only, With a cobb unit that would be less than 2 seconds of data. unless that entire log took you two seconds, which is very doubtful, then your sample rate is very slow, which leaves out alot of info
Good info thank you!

Yea you can make rollercoaster looks smooth if you simply include less data points. Terry has his reason for setting it where he has it, and thats due tot he can system outputs, which is funny because the tunes with higher rates, that suppesdly excede what CAN spits out, all show more useful, valueable data....makes you wonder where that data is coming from if the unit is sampling more than CAN spits out....

But this is something I simply have no experience with, just going by what I see in logs.

I've raised this before. Curious what values the other tunes get directly vs via the can.

I know the procede only uses some of the values from CAN, but not all. As far as cobb, no idea where the data is coming from, however its there...lol

What is the difference in boost from the 91oct and 93oct maps? Trying to find that info is like a needle in a hay stack considering all the different cobb threads that are going on.

A better questions to ask would be what is the difference in load targets, not boost.

Here are the URL's you can check to see the latest versions:
Standard Release (Currently: 1.6.3.2-1144)
http://www.accessecu.com/support/acc...01/version.txt

Beta Release (Currently: 1.6.3.2-1203)
http://www.accessecu.com/support/acc...rsion_beta.txt

I would like to see some release notes on the beta firmware so we know what changes have been made. Cobb, can you post?

Sadly I am still waiting for my ECU to be supported . I emailed it last Wednesday but it has still not been added yet. I have to question why Cobb did not try and get more cars supported out of the gate. A call for N54's to stop by the local offices for a quick download would have significantly increased support at launch. Not the best out of the box customer experience for a $900 device.

I like it a little better this way. I'm waiting just like you. Sent my rom in last Friday. Reason being when the ap was coming out for the g37 Cobb wouldn't release it until they gathered all the roms. It took them months longer to gather whereas they are gathering them more quickly from early adopters like us. Yeah, it stinks that we can't start using the rune the day we got it in the mail, but hopefully they will come through.

Because nationally, there are a ton of different versions. There's no way they could have had everyone's firmware in hand for a release.

But like anything, buying a brand new model right after development and release is always a risk for some bumps. New car models, electronics (think I Phone), Operating Systems for your PC etc. are all the same.

Your disapointment is a bit unfair, as it's founded in an unrealistic expectation, in my opinion.

That said, hopefully you get your ROM supported and up and running soon!

FWIW, I spoke to Dan at Cobb to see when my rom was going to be incorporated into a firmware update and he got back to me after talking to one of the engineers and said that there is going to be an update on Friday with my rom in it. Hopefully that is the case for others as well.

335is owner eager to hear when a 335is tune will be out . I'd be happy to lend my car as a testbed if you guys were doing any testing in LA.

as an aside, i was wondering if the new flash would do away with the built in "turboboost" function that the 335is' have that boost torque for a short period of time etc. Is the only main thing separating a 335i and a 335is the tune? because if so, a tune for both n54 models would hit the same numbers right? forgive my ignorance if i'm just plain confused.

Yep, a regular 335i and 335is will hit the same numbers after a tune...and you're correct that it will get rid of the 'turboboost' function as the boost will always be higher.

Does your 335is have the DCT transmission? A tuned N54 with DCT has to rip!

sorry someone else posted. If you could link to this thread I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Probably because they both have a "Vested Interest" ie., Financial gain or Loss involved???

The DCT is awesome, no doubt about it. Living in LA definitely makes me appreciate it. Thoughts of regret of not getting the manual are fleeting because of the perfect combo.

It seems a bit sad then, that the only difference in my car is the fans, DCT, and some badging. o well.
