Hows it been guys? Just got back from a 2 week vaca in India. My dad just picked up a Tata Nano, the world's cheapest car. Nice switch to get back to my Twin Turbo 6 after the Twin cylinder 600 CC nano!

Hello from Honolulu, HI!!

Here are some pictures from my hotel room and other views. I rented out a 2010 Cadillac CTS. It's really nice, it's a great change from Cadillac from earlier years.

Not much new here. Just driving the heck out of my car. My HPFP is almost totally gone. The car doesn't start in the AM well at all - it's like I'm starting a tractor with the amount of gas I have to give it to keep her running at first. I need to make yet another appointment tomorrow so they can finally replace the damn HPFP.

I have the latest 5-15 6AT PROcede code on there right now and it kicks ass when the car works but I'd say 40% of the time it just throws an SES and starts running like ass. It's throwing a code 10716 which is some sort of fuel injection cut off code or something like that.

The bottom line is the car runs and drives fine but as soon as I get into it hard, I run the risk of SES lights and rough idle's. A "reboot" of the car fixes it everytime and I can clear the light with the PROcede but obviously this is no way to drive a car - I'm waiting for my starter to go out! lol

Later,

Nick
Dude, I am confused! I thought you just had a new HPFP put in? Didn't they first update the software and then replace the pump the second time around?

As far as the PROcede goes, Shiv and I discussed the problem and it is simply not tune relaated. The car will throw an SES even when configured to stock settings. I didn't mention it in my last post but there are times just going through town at 30 and the car will suddenly loose half it's power and start running rough. It's for sure a bad pump.

I think with the new software + the new HPFP the car should be aces. You can now hear the low pressure pump prime when the ignition is set to "on" which I guess was a big part of the HPFP issue; the pump was running dry or something like that.

I guess I'm just glad the car is under warranty.

In other news, I got a huge rock chip in my windshield this weekend. I want to get it replaced but I'm paranoiod that they won't get the rain sensor to ever work correctly again. I will have to talk to the dealer to see what they say.

Nick

Make them replace it with OEM glass and you will be fine!!! 90% of the issues I see with rain senors are from Crap aftermarket glass

Need To Vent - Comcast!

I just got back from India and had an unpleasant voicemail in the form of a call from a credit agency. I found out that it was a comcast bill from 2009. I had no idea of this bill, and I was EXTREMELY annoyed as I've continued to be a Comcast customer during this period and expected that they would have at least had the courtesly to call me and let me know of this pending bill.

Needless to say on principal, I've decided to cancel my cable and internet service.

Man it sucks you're having so much trouble with your fuel pump. Hopefully once they get it replaced this time you'll be good to go. My car is going in on Thursday for the scheduled 15k maintenance and I'm hoping to get them to update my software at that time to help prevent my HPFP from going bad.

I know in DC they kicked ass for cable.

Are you going to go DSL or just live internet'less? If the latter, I think you're going a little far. I mean, how you going to pay bills n stuff? The mail?? lol

Nick

Only thing I won't be able to do is check email, which is a pretty big deal, but I will figure something out with that. I use my work comp for bills and stuff anyway as I figure it is more secure. Principal matters Nick!

Good mornin everyone! I finally have a chance to pop in and say hello. The last couple of months have been far from slow paced. We have major projects going on at work that makes me work 80+hrs a week plus doing full-time school. I hope that everyone is doing well and I hope to make it to a meet sometime soon!!!
