Sorry, folks. I'm going to have to bail on you. Right now, there's still too many unknowns for me, and I'm not comfortable being a trailblazer for this project. I'll be moving to a new state this summer also, so I don't know what support I'll have there.
I apologize again. My spot is open, and I hope this doesn't delay the project significantly. 1. BB_cuda 2. xboxgod - PAID 3. Kakalika 4. Jdg 5. Big_Daddy_38 6. 335dlci 7. 335iPSI - PAID 8. OPEN 9. Yozh - PAID 10. iaknown - PAID |

Okay, J.R.. What is your cost for 1) putting OEM coding back on ECU 2) restoring Ecotune coding from dealer flash |

I am one of the "not committed". About the time I put my name in I got a call from BMW that they would pay 1/2 of a gold warranty for me but I needed to work the details with my dealer. I still don't have a price for it. As soon as I get the pricing details, I'll be able to decide if the warranty is worth it. If I get the warranty I won't do the pipe until 100k miles.
I know I will kick myself if I get the warranty and my DPF fails within 100k mi but I will also kick myself if I don't get the warranty and my injectors/DDE fail again. |

So I guess the question is what is going to happen with the group buy with some people that are bailing. Two people have dropped. Assuming the other two shall pay. We will have eight. Do we have to wait for the ten to get things going. Kinda shitty for the ones that have committed and paid.

I gather they will cater you guys Yozh, I know Ecotune has been shady lately but I strongly believe that Stan and his group will not hang you guys up to dry.

How has Ecotune been acting "shady" as you put it?

Ok ok amigos I made of came a little strong on Stan and his crew. I will merely say I used some strong words but what i implied was that the communication between Stan and his his crews is somewhat lacking therefore, one says one thing Stan says another and another writes to a board member something else. I strongly believe ecotune is a reputable busisnes I wrote to Stan over a year ago and he was very pleasant with me at the time. So there you go I just used a harsh word. Sorry

It's normal with prototyping and new product development, lots of unknowns. One should not expect all the answers and perfection at this stage of the game.
