For nav owners (this works for 08, but not sure about other years)...

Enter a destination in your nav and start guidance, turn the monitor off and start on your journey. Whenever the nav needs to tell you a turn is coming up, it turns the monitor back on, but here's the kicker - it brings up a different screen than you normally see when using the nav, and it's pretty cool. It gives you the arrow display on the left (larger) side with a road graphic in the background - even if you had the map view up when you shut the monitor off. It also gives you a few icons at the top, but the controller won't let you get to them. Give it a try!
damn i'm gonna have to see what this is all about now...

Hold the key fob near the slot and you can turn the radio on without having to put in the actual fob

+1.. CA sucks. 50% success rate on opening and locking. It seems it is a beta version of the Lexus CA which works ALL the time.

I disagree with you. I have no problem at all with CA. Maybe there is something wrong with your car.

You definitely have a problem. You should be able to touch it with your finger and it instantly unlocks or locks....but you have to touch it at the right spot. Check your manual for the right spot to touch...it is different on my 2 BMW's.

Also, he should make sure he is standing close to the car and close to the front door. If I lean over from 3 feet away and grab the handle, it does not typically work. If I am close by, it works 100% of the time.

Metallic tint is known to cause problems, maybe that's slant's issue, because I have no problems at all with mine. I love CA! Although I didn't realize that hitting 'unlock' on the key turned on the angel eyes as you approach for a month and a half!

A month and half!? Won't your battery go dead?

Kidding, kidding. Kindly disregard my dry sarcasm and shallow humor.

Haha, sometimes I do it just to see my angel eyes. I love the glow.

the power outlet in the glove box stays on for one hour, then shuts down. When you open up the door (not unlock) the power is again switched on.

I have hard wired my Garmin to this.

the bump of this thread reminded me what i learned during Bimmerfest weekend from another member E90(yea i know...that's a while ago) and that is you can close the moonroof window with the press of one button, rather than my old two buttons press process. It took me over 1+ years to figured it out. i knew there has to be a simple way to close the moonroof, i guess i never took the time or use the moonroof enough to figure this one out on my own.

when you turn your wheel hard left or hard right, your corner light will light up to help you see better

when you do a hard left/right blinker rather than just the 3 blink, your front light will slowly glow bright and dim out on that side

Where exactly is the power outlet in the glove box? I have an '08 e92 and i've looked briefly but didn't see it. Is there some sort of cap covering it, or is there something you have to remove to gain access to it?

I have 07 e90 and their is a flash light in the glove box. You can buy the adaptor and hook it up to flash light socket to make it 12V socket. I am using it for my radar detector.

I was under the impression that it is on forever. Saw one earlier post that it shuts off after 1 hour. Need to check this tonight, it will be nice since I am worried my radar will not last that long if it on permanently.

They stopped providing a rechargeable flash in a special socket sometime not to long ago and put in a battery powered flashlight with a logo on it. But when I picked up my e92 in July, I was told that my shipment was the last, and from now on, they weren't providing anything.
So from now on, there will be an empty clip to the left, that's CHEAP!
