I think the problem here on why you are seeing a deviation in your math is because your comparing HP/TQ numbers with WHP/WTQ numbers. One is power at the crank and the other is power to the wheels

Cobb's numbers are crank rated numbers in hp/tq

whp/wtq numbers are always 15%-20% less than the crank numbers due to driveline power loss depending if your AT, MT, or DCT and health

quick question guys upgraded to a v3 added the 2 parameters that ptf asks you to add to logs and it will not let me log it tells me that i can only monitor 21items if i do 22 or 23 i get an error when trying to log. didnt have this problem with the v2 any thoughts?

So how do you send and share maps? I get why some maps need to be locked (for pro tuners). But what about friends/members sharing maps?

You may need to reduce the number of parameters you are displaying - these also count in the number of parameters you can log.

i tried that too i was displaying 3 and notice that they count towards the ones being logged to so i switched back to one and just displayed boost which is already being logged. what would be some parameters i can remove and still have a usable log for ptf to use

So why am I only seeing 322/388? Mathematically those "gains" are only 11.4% horsepower and 28.5% torque gain. So, why am I not seeing Cobb's advertised gains? I'm running Stage 1 aggressive (linear throttle) running the same fuel, same dyno conditions. Only thing that changed was the Cobb. Cobb's website claims 30% gain in horsepower and 38% gain in torque. I only saw 11% horsepower and 28% torque.

I can provide a copy of each dyno graph if needed. 3 runs were done each before and after the Cobb install. (No, I didn't log while on the dyno, I was just running to see the gains) Anyone know what I could have done wrong? I mean Cobb's install was pretty straight forward. Anyone else having these problems? Not seeing the advertised numbers?

Just picked up an 09 335i with 56k miles and I'm LOVING the car....considering getting an AP though, do you guys think the car has too many miles to install one? If I do.. Do you think it was significantly lower its reliability? I don't really want to deal with CELs every few weeks and the like. Is this something to expect if I get one?

Hey there I have Cobb and my car has 92k mi! Runs great. Make sure spark plugs are fresh and maybe an intake valve cleaning if you do get misfires there's a sticky in this section that can walk you thru diagnosing. Onviously tuning any CAN lead to some loss in reliability but if u do regular maintenance you'll be fine. Good luck!

I got an AP on my 09 335i when I had 54k on it and I haven't had any problems. I'm way past just an AP now if you look at my sig but have only had to replace my low pressure fuel sensor.

No tuning is available to adjust the RPMs for LC on the 335is

Cobb's OTS maps disable the Overboost function as their maps were tuned on older N54 that do not have the overboost function.

I have revised Cobb's OTS maps that enables the Overboost on the 335is and corrected their post shift delays on DCT cars. I offer the OTS 335is revised maps upon request.

The ROM versions I support are ILA0S_IS and INA0S_IS .

COBB needs to man up and do LC and FFS on the 335...ive had it in two of my STI's, it is a world of difference when racing. The Accessport is such a awesome device for any vehicle its made for, i just dont understand why they wont do it.

I would suggest everyone to complain to Cobb support about these and also the very low boost ceiling limits. I would think they will listen to their customers. I'm not sure though.

Their maps only serve as a base, a starter, nothing less nothing more. Every car is different, its virtual impossible for them to make an OTS map that will cater to every car. Thats why you have the community to help with maps or you get protuned to tailor to your needs and expectations

If you are talking about mapping, I agree. It is best not to rely on OTS map if you have the time to custom tune your car yourself - with the help of the community if needed.

However, he was referring to features such as flat foot shifting and launch control. For example, launch control is available on all Subaru models supported by the Accessport. Cobb seems to be quite inactive in the N54 scene and is more active on other platforms. It is slightly disappointing to the customers when their tuners move on.

I am not getting misfires, but I feel like my car is much laggier than before. Smooth delivery above 2500-3000 RPM, but below that it just feels incredibly weak. I had issues with misfires earlier this year but new plugs and carbon cleaning fixed that and haven't had any misfire issues since.

What are other symptoms of failing/leaking injectors other than misfires? Looking at my logs everything seems to look normal, but the feel of everything is definitely not the same as before. I went to BMW to see if it is a wastegate issue, and after doing diag and smoke tests they said I have no boost leaks, and wastegate rattle is still within spec. Timing isn't being pulled.

I get a boost spike after WOT hitting 20 or so PSI right after I let off the pedal. I do notice my exhaust sounds deeper in the low rpm range when driving around than it did previously making me think theres a leak somewhere post downpipes, but again still hitting target boost and load.

Only code I pull is the AAF fuel pump plausability code with no others being thrown.
