I know. Jim is a great guy and I'm sure he will get to it when he has time. Also, I think a lot of people don't realize (and this is my personal belief), that aside from profit potential, Jim really believes people should have access to their cars and not be manhandled by BMW's strong arm tactics.

if it won't work with msd81, will it work with progman 29.2?
29.2 uses some of the same safeguards as v81 and most tuners seem to treat the two the same (i.e. if you have 29.2 you have to run the same map as the v81 folks) |

Ah, the Utec wasn't THAT bad. It was great for it's day! And yes, the editable iteration of the Accessport was the Street Tuner. Well, I (and many others here) are really just looking for the "Accessport version" of something from Jim (or from tuners who know how to work with Edit properly), i.e. an Injector loaded with goodness. Looking forward to that day! |

I just had a short conversation with Jim. He glanced over this forum and read some threads on the SharkEdit where people are calling it 'Vaporware' or a myth that will never happen. He is thinking about pulling MSD80 support. Like the guy whos wife is always accusing him of cheating... if you're being accused of it why NOT do it.
With that being said, I am leaking this. Not sure if it is JimC cleared to leak, but nothing looks too vital on there. |

And no you have done it, and not the leak. Posting something with Hexadecimal information will certainly confuse some. |

I should have edited that. I knew what you were saying... I saw the neat smiley. I was aiming at others as well. TO EVERYONE ELSE: If that looks like greek to you... it IS! Don't play with things you don't understand. |

Boy I certainly hope that you are joking about Jim threatening to pull MSD80 support because some people are poking fun at him.
After seeing tuner shenanigans over the past year or so, I would be very disappointed if Conforti was that vindictive and petty. |

I'm all for free speech, especially on forums, but c'mon... sometimes people need to think before they speak (or type).
One post in this thread caused an 80 day delay. And I would say that much was for the better. The negative posts everywhere is why Jim doesnt frequent forums like these. Slandering a product before it even comes out, what a wonderful way to encourage that person/company to release a product in that market. P.S. - If you have read any of Jims posts, you can get a good idea of how he is. I recommend you read the thread where him and Shiv had a nice discussion. And the part about Jim pulling MSD80 support, that may have been a joke....... Or was it? |

It was a joke, not a threat. Jim doesnt make threats, he just takes action. If he was pulling MSD80 support, I wouldnt have even posted the screen shot. Since obviously you arent the joking kind, here is some more official information. Quote:
September is OBDI release. He is still staggering the release dates. |

That is what I am assuming.
The reason for the staggering is for his sanity, not to finish the product. SharkEdit should be done completely when it goes up for sale. |
