18K miles and ZERO oil change? That's insane...when I used to have twinturbo setup on my FX, I changed oil every 2500~3000 miles with Royal Purple Synthetic...that was like my first priority to protect engine/turbos. but dang 18K miles?? I'd do an oil change every 3000 miles if I were you to save your decent ride & Turboz...especially with Procede...come on now...

Changing the oil yourself is a $45 job you can do in the garage/carport in under 30 minutes. Change the oil every 5-7K with synthetic and your golden. No reason to really do it any sooner than 5K with the quality of oils these days and don't go past 7K. Anyway, I think you've probably discovered the reason for your low dyno. If you redyno after an oil change and you still get a low dyno, try your friends K&N. |

Are you guys not freaking out somewhat regarding these oil changes ?
I mean, how dumb would BMW be if they would use (less quality) oil and (too long) changing intervals that would actually shorten the lifespan of their cars or hurt the performance? BTW, according to owner's manual (at least where I live), BMW recommends Castrol oil. |

I think it was all marketing business fron Vishnu. Personally, I'm disapointed. All the dynos fron Shiv show 36x whp (with intake) and me and my friends barely hit 330whp.

Some people have weak car engines, some have strong engines. Yours is below average. Who knows, maybe mine is too. The point is that the Procede in Shiv's car was specially tuned by him for that car whereas we all get a generic map for everything. Dont worry so much about who has the most HP. Geez.

I will get an oil change Wednesday and then re-dyno. Weather is supposed to be sunny and dry all week. We'll see what happens.

First, yours is SAE which is standard and always reads lower then STD correction as Vishnu posted. If they considering STD is better tuning FI vehicle so be it, the rest of nationwide tuning shops using SAE correction, hence accurate and realistic results. Second, you haven't change oil within 18,000 mi . Third, change oil, run baseline, cool it down and enable V2 and dyno again. In addition, ask your shop to convert from SAE to STD and post both dyno here. You'll be surprised with difference between them. Hope I'm not harsh |

I hope in the future that this gentleman continues to post SAE corrected number and looks past the pressure to do otherwise.

Let the car adapt to V2 and Dyno. Run the software and ensure you are peaking at around 14.5-15psi. When you Dyno, make sure you go to the Dyno with your Cabin Air Filter removed. This way you can make your runs and then since you have easy access to the ECU box, stick in the bypass plug to get your baseline reading for comparison. This only takes 30 seconds. |

I thought BMW's "free" oil change interval (as per the included routine maintenance) is either 15k mi. or 12 months? How long has it been since you've driven 18k mi?
