Thats what it boils down to. You can get Android phones that outperform the iPhone in every performance test, but some people just dont want to have the complexity and control that most Androids give you. When the iPhone 1st came out, I had one and kept getting the latest one for the next 3 years or so. Then I switched to Android and never looked backed and wondered why my iPhone couldnt do all this stuff. IMO, my current iPhone 5 seems like almost the same as the 1st iPhone, just with a better design/screen/camera. Where as my current Android is night and day difference from my 1st android phone.
Ive got the LG G4, wife has the S6, and it sounds like I am going to be getting the new iPhone 6s for work. See how it compares, but I have a feeling, I am still going to like using my LG for all things. |

Android OEMs are all about impressing on paper to get the sell. Apple doesn't even reveal the exact specs of the 6s at the announcement. I like that approach, as long as it works flawlessly why should it matter?

I have to say I was impressed how I connected my new i6 to Wi-Fi, entered my username/password, and about 20 minutes later my i4 was now my i6, complete with my preferences, contacts, AND camera rolls. Even my associated picture for contacts and my background were all the same.
The only thing that didn't get there perfect was TWC couldn't tell me the GPS weather location, some privacy setting got hosed along the way. |

Google is supposedly implementing something similar in Marshmallow, but because of all the device variations I doubt it will be as seamless as what apple has. |

Switched to iPhone with my 5. Love it. Have had it for nearly 3 years and see no need to "upgrade" It simply works, no hassles. I don't care about being able to customize anything, even still have all the standard ringtones installed. Nice that since I am out of a contract with my carrier now, my phone bills dropped in half, got switched to a BYOD plan.

All of my apps, contacts, wifi pwds, etc. transferred over via the cloud. The pictures did not but that was fine as I had them backup up anyways and don't really care about them. I thought it was surprising seamless.

Cool another ridiculous, no one's going to be right, fanboy thread. I've never had an iphone but my galaxy has worked flawlessly for over two years. I think apple products are good but highly overrated. I've had two macs and have macs at work. The bang for your buck for an android system and a pc system is much higher. All the people I know who have had iphones and went to android stayed on android and I don't know anyone who had an android went to iphone and did not go back to android. I know a few super high tech guys and they won't touch an iphone. The problem is, is that Apple holds back on it's technology because they don't have to have the most power because people will buy it--I think many people buy Apple just like BMW for the prestige of having one.

Apples products are not the cheapest, the build quality and support is outstanding though. There's something to be said for that. To each their own, if you use an android, good for you, I'm not judging anyone based on the phone they use. |

Android user since day 1. An iPhone seems very boring and restrictive. Love the new iphone commercials about being able to press down and hold to pop up an app, text etc. That is so 2010!
I think being a big Google user makes android a no brainer as well. Everything syncs up so nice. I have an iPhone that my company gave me and I've turned it on once. Currently using a Nexus 6 which is fantastic aside from it being a little too big. To each their own, of course. I do like the camera and video they take. |

Also...best android phone I've had is the Samsung Nexus from a few years back. Absolutely awesome phone. Still have it.
Anyone remember the Motorola Q?? That thing was so badass in it's day....then came the iPhone and the rest is history. Always loved my BB Tour ..excellent business phone. |

Had iphone for 5 years and switched to note 3 for 2 years and I can't wait to get back to iphone. I still hate how iphone has to be synced but it is still better than unorganized droid IMO. I thought iOS was so stupid and laggy but after using droid for 2 yrs, I know that iOS is better for me.

Tried Android for 3 months (HTC One M8). Good phone and OS, but I missed the iOS every damn day lol, so I went back to iOS and iPhone 6 and never looked back.
Bottom line is: Android is a fine OS Windows is a fine OS iOS is a fine OS Guess what? If my wife/mom/dad decide to use Android or Windows-based phone, I won't be trying to convince them to use iOS, cuz it's their damn business. |
