5 Guys hits the spot for fast food places
A local place by me does a nice burger using prime beef with sauteed peppers/onions, pepperjack cheese, chipotle mayo, and a fried egg. Prob on of my fav burgers to get anywhere. Also one of the best I have ever had was from Peter Luger's in Brooklyn for lunch. Simple and to the point made with really good beef cooked Med Rare. Plus you can always order a side of bacon and throw in on the burger, but the bacon is like eating a small steak lol

5 guys is my favorite fast food burger. Unless I have an In-n-Out, then I go there. Unfortunately, none in Colorado.
crave burger is my favorite sit down burger place. The 3 Little Pigs and Cubano Burgers are my favorites there. |

Gott's Roadside Diner is very good. Burgers are great. Shakes are out of this world. It used to be Taylor's Automatic Refresher since 1948.
Problem is there are only a few locations. Its in Napa Valley (2 locations) and the Ferry Building in San Francisco. Check it out and report back! |

I grew up in a small town in NW Ohio called "Lima". It's a shithole little town and everyone who grows up there dreams of the day they will escape, but it does have some fantastic little burger shops.
#1. Kewpee - the inspiration for Wendy's and still doing it better than them to this day. Locally raised beef is delivered to each store daily. #2. Happy Daz- famous for their tenderloins, but they make some damn good burgers too. In-and-Out is the only 'mainstream' burger that I like.

The lima bean is actually the town mascot, "Beanie" It's funny you mention the pronunciation thing, because the legend goes that that's how we got our name. When the town was founded people submitted suggestions for what to call it and then they just drew one at random like a lottery. "Lima" was suggested to honor Lima, Peru, but when it was announced, it was mispronounced with the hard "i" sound rather than the hard "e" sound, and the name stuck. Srsly though, if you ever go through there again, stop by a Kewpee.

Whataburger
Double Whataburger There's a local place in Scottsdale that has great burgers, but they ought to be for the price: Wally's Oh and In-and-out: I remember when they first showed up here. The one closest to my house was right off the freeway and cars were backed up all the way around the corner, up the off-ramp and onto the freeway waiting in line. I thought it must be really good. After all the hype died down and the lines were gone, I tried them twice; there will not be a 3rd time. First time the fries were cold, undercooked and greasy and the burger was "meh". Second time the fries were ok, but the burger came with a CHUNK of onion in it (hidden by the bun & other condiments) that was twice as thick as the 2 meat patties combined.
