When you ask for advice and in turns into a argument lol. Guys lets just agree to disagree and move on.

For the record I decided on: Plantronics BackBeat PRO+ Wireless Noise Canceling Hi-Fi Headphones. Everything I wanted in one package. Thank you to everyone that helped me!

I think it's one of those things where its popular to hate on a brand. I'd wonder how many people have actually listened to some of the newer beats line. I have a sampling of headphones from audio technica to sennheiser, but like the beats solo2 for the gym and on the go.

They're good for what they are and have received good professional reviews and recommendations. Of course this model is not near the best under $500, but the topic has moved on from that it seems

So I'm going to resurrect this thread. This has already been recommended, but I recently picked up a pair of OPPO PM-3 (planar magnetic/closed back) and paired it with my HA-2(SE) amp. Honestly this might be one of the best setups I've heard for less than $1k. To me, this is the clear over ear winner right now. My previous fav would have been the BW P7s.

As for IEMs, I'm currently into the Klipsch X20i which I have a slight preference over Shure SE535. I think the 535s are a little above $500 but I picked up the x20i for around $400.

Ath-m50 but I also really like Sony XB950BT and Sol Republic Calvin Harris if you can still get them.

I also love my audio technica M50's. The sound is amazing. Im using Jaybirds X3's for wireless in ears for gym time, they are excellent as well once you fit them correctly
