Hi Eugen,
It's nice to hear that you have the Dahler tune (360bhp). I am very interested about the Dahler tun as well in my 135i. I have got two questions about that tune: 1) How do you know that Dahler and Noelle are the same (for the 360bhp)? 2) What are your experiences until now about the Dahler tune? Does the car feel faster? Is the car faster? do you have a dynorun of your car? I am looking forward to your answers. Kind regards, Ferdinand (the Netherlands) |

OMG. You have to explain everything to some people, but ok. Why would Dahler install the Noelle tune for Eugen, if they have a Dahler tune of themselves? So I presume (it's very obvious to me), the Dahler tune = Noelle tune and visa versa. But maybe Eugen can answer this question, don't you think so?

They fixed it?! Wow! A band-aid fix like the Dinan water pump & thermo software & DI adjustment, or is this Alpina's change of piston crown design? If it's the water pump etc. then that augers well for the flash tuning route.

1: Mr. Noelle confirmed this in an email to me. Mr. Dähler confirmed as well. 2: The car feels really fast, much faster than stock and has different characteristics how power is developed compared to the piggybacks. I will make a dynorun in the next 2-4 weeks. I am very happy with the Noelle ECU flash so far. I had to disconnect my car's battery to get rid of slight hiccups when idling in steptronic "D" mode. Regards, Eugen |

Not that simple. Correctly designed LC pistons maintain the VERY specific characteristics of the DI design for stratified charge burns while allowing one to use more boost safely and make more power on the same octane fuel. Squish is more important than ever with DI leaving a head gasket as a no-no.

Hi Eugen, I am looking forward to your Dynoruns. I do believe Dahler and Noelle are perfect engineers. I have driven the Dahler Mini Cooper Works Water-to-air (227Bhp) and that was great! But after all, I have chosen AC Schnitzer for my performance mod (360hp) on the 135i. For some reasons: 1. AC Schnitzer is close to my home. If I have any problem with the modification, I can go to them. 2. Because Alpina and AC Schnitzer are the home-tuners of BMW, the full BMW warranty remains. AC Schnitzer = BMW Rennsport. That gives me confidence (in case of problems). 3. When BMW comes in the future (for some reason) with an ECU update (during maintenance) the AC Schnitzer software will not be overwritten. 4. The performance mods includes a full package: - software update (first the AC Schnitzer flash will be uploaded, and then, my car will be fine-tuned to really get the 360hp). - another exhaust system, and - speedometer will be replaced/updated (up to 310 km/h). AC Schnitzer delivers the car with a certificate. So, when the car is tuned, I will send you the dyno as well. Greets, Ferdinand. ![]() |

360hp without some work on the engine? tell me why Alpina puts some other pistons on the B3 Biturbo with 360hp to become a lower engine-compression? |

All tunings I used ( Procede V1, PROcede V2, JB2H and the new AA Active Processor ) and most of us use deliver >= 360 hp crank. My car is in a perfect condition. I will add the Spearco FMIC and a bigger Oil-Cooler soon. Cooler = Stronger = Better. Cheers, Eugen |
