Don't know why you have to nitpick his use of question marks AND not answering the question.

It is pretty simple.

It's been awhile since there's been an update on this issue. I'm trying to understand fully what the LUX H8 kit looks like if I were to buy one today (2010-12-28). I dont' like the idea of the power supply sitting outside of the headlight, so I'd like to know if the issue has been correted since the last post here.

You will need to mount the power supply outside of the headlight assembly. There is a spot above the headlight where the power supply fits nicely and isn't noticeable. This is still the recommended installation procedure, and must be followed in order to keep your LUX H8 lighting under warranty
