I just didn't trust the Guage and it was 100 degrees out so I thought it was slower due to heat soak. Never bothered to check.
Yea. You can confirm by plugging in your laptop and selecting map selection as one of your channels or checking the values reset after it autotuned it.

Certainly possible. But it might be better to do the user calibration input method since it will allow users to account for small car to car variance (within the same model). As well as compensate for different models.

Just a thought. It will eliminate the need for different firmwares for different cars. And since the flam of having less user interaction from others, I figure they wouldn't want to have more things to set. Also keep in mind that some people dont even connect to laptop when installing the tune. Either way, I like the progress.

The problem is it's not easy to decode what model the car is based upon the VIN (the last 7, really). You'd have to store a table of the models and I don't think that would be efficient.

How about the thread you created titled "PROcede v4 User software Wish List"? http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=355597

Or practically every other post of yours in Shiv's threads?

Don't mean to rag on you... But if the above is the majority of the forum's feelings about your suggestions, maybe it's time for you to objectively look at them and cut back a bit? Just trying to help.

Shiv
here might not be the best place to ask this question, but I really want to know which channels in the user software I should be looking at for the actual IC and UT values after autotuned?

Hey guys,
It's cool... all suggestions are fine. Even those that are unlikely to ever get implemented for logistic reaons often give us ideas of other features. So I think it benefits us all. At the very worst, all I will do is provide a polite explaination why I don't think it's feasible. At the very best, I'll do it. But more often than not, it will give me an idea of something that has similar benefits of with none of the logisitical difficulties/impracticalities.

Cheers,
shiv

Just follow the documentation provided with the new maps. All you need to do is drop in the two datalog setup files that are included in the download folder. It will pre-configure your channels set-up to show what you care about. The description of each channel will be in the "units" section. Should be very self-explanatory.

Cheers,
Shiv

lol

I thought this was a community. Let's keep it that way. I guess I'm more vocal than others. I talk and read on the Procede, because is the tune I own and use. If i find a way to make it better ill post it on the forumn. If i find a problem, I'll post it on the forumn. If I had another tune, I'll be more in tuned with the other tune. I'm pretty sure many more people feel the same, but don't express themselves the same, so I apologies to the people taking offense here. 80% of the forumn is just covered with back and forth bullshit. People just saying how bad a tune is or how good there is. How good their tuners are compare to the other. Which tune is better. Again, let's just keep this on topic and not keep bringing this up as I already addressed it. I keep reading people saying that I'm posting nonsense, but all I see is replies and replies on what I suggested. In within itself is non sense. I know I may come out as the rude one, sinse most vocal are against me, but I was just making a suggestion. Every other vocal users do the same for their tune. If tuners didn't have responses from their useres, good or bad, innovation wouldn't be the same. So if I or any other person suggest something just say I like it or didn't like it. No need to keep going on on the same thing, as it's more a destraction than the original poster. Guys lets keep it moving. Shiv sorry for having to explain myself in your tread.

Perhaps the valet roadspeed limit adjustment since we are not using that feature right now.

Any way you might want to email a couple of us poor 135i users the different firmware so we don't have to explain to our friends that it is really putting out 15 psi but the scaling is off. as they make fun and laugh at us

I panic and hit the flasher to read boost, fuck I want meth flow, flashers again, dtc twice for map 2, fuck I hit the door lock, 3 honks went my 10 seconds ago, im still pressing buttons. At the red light I roll my windown down wiht my door locked, flashers going, traction half off and ses light blinking...window will jamp and roll back up, I try again, by that time rolling the windown down twice will enable some other feature, car starts honking by itself......I wasnt ready bro, give me a minute. lmao.

whoooaaa it was a temp solution, considering he doesnt have any of that other shit setup yet, but the idea was to possibly implement it just like he had been doing, maybe since maps are kind of useless now he can reclaim the dtc button, or u can drive around with ur half working boost guage , i really dont care as i already have one

Hahahah. Nice..... I love it.....

Although i still don't get why people feel the need to have a lower power map.... Just use less foot !!!

This auto tuning is working great.... I really don't care about having more than one map.... Am i really the only one that sets the car up to be fast, and show me whatever (boost, etc) and just leave it alone ??

Scenario:
Double tap hazard in map1 and:
Map1 fuel gauge display boost
Map2 fuel gauge display boost as well

My suggestion
Double tap hazard in map1 and:
Map1 fuel gauge display boost
Double tap hazard in map2 and:
Map2 fuel gauge display meth flow, fuel, afr, boost, etc..

So when you cycle through maps, it holds your settings for that map just like map switching is persistence in holding its autotuned settings. If you want both maps to show boost like it is now, just have each map show boost.

People, if this can be implementable(which Shiv said is an easy thing) why not. Its the same exact thing as we have now with another layer for each map so show something else if we wanted too. Sometimes I think if Shiv came out with it or comes out with it, you guys would agree with him and not be against it.
Oh I see your point now.

The truth is; as we found out a while back with the Dinan Placebo tune saga, most people even those on here can't tell if the car has a tune or not. Beats me why people bother get a tune if they can't even "feel" it no matter how powerful it is. Really. I almost got eaten alive for claiming the tune was totally ineffective, only to be proven right later when we learned it was indeed running stock boost. Even the shop techs who had lots of Dinan cars couldn't tell it was a Placebo even after a fairly long test drive. They all came back raving about the tune, and I was just like WTF do I gotta do to prove it to them? Didn't have a boost gauge back then.
