Latest flyer will always be hosted here: http://bigup.ca/altitude2011/ (don't really have time to make a full website right now .. but I'll be sure to host ALL the photos after the event!) Thinking about the rain situation .. obviously the cruise should still happen in rain, but we'd need a backup plan for lunch -- firepits & grills don't work very well in the rain.. ! Poster looks great.
I agree about the PT folk-having been to their last meet, the cars are classy, and the owners just as enthusiastic as the rest of us; would be a shame to omit them. Hope the M3 is here before then; if not, the 335i will have to suffice Asif |

Nope, its an E90 Sedan. got some supercharge kit done from tunerworks.
I went to high school with him, he also has a club kit GT3 rate car as well as an Austin Martin with body work to make it look identical to the Austin Martin race car with the yellow front bumper.. |

Supercharged M3s are nuts. Good to know somebody in Calgary has one ... just don't want to meet him at the stop light grand prix

Now we have a 1, many 3s, a few 5s, and a 7 (+ the Minis). Anybody know a 6-series owner to help complete the line-up?
I'm going on a recon mission tomorrow to check out the road suitability and scout out potential lunch & photo sites. |

I volunteer to bring basic BBQ food -- including buns, burgers & sausages.
I will also provide a gas grill, we can use that in addition to fire pit(s). |

Can't have a fire pit without marshmallows!
That along with a heineken and a lawn chair would make for a perfect day. Camping trip out to K-country? Lol

Went for a little recon mission today -- headed out of Calgary on 1A. Overall, the road is great, with some twisties and points of interest.
Unfortunately, there is a little section shortly after Ghost Lake (I believe it's reserve land), that has a few pot holes. My wife was driving her new Mini, and did a grand job avoiding them all.. some of them were quite evil though, and if hit, would easily kill a low profile tire. We could totally avoid the bad section by joining the main highway via Morley. Also, the toll fee to get into the national park is now $9.80 per Adult ($20 group). So if everybody is happy with this, we can make Banff the official destination (all the BMWs cruising down the main strip in Banff will be a good sight!). |
