confirmed... the siren is gone (two mornings in a row) and the rumble is still there.

I haven't logged v300 yet but so far I'm very happy.

So am I the only one who can't use 3.00 at all? I mean for me it's completely undrivable, surging and hesitating.

Might be, switch back to non-beta. Shoot cobb an email, they will figure out whats occuring and update the maps.

loaded up 93 map v300 this morning - call seems to pull much harder than the latest 93 map (v203 I think?). Will re calibrate boost gauge and check out readings at idle.

Tried v3.00 maps again. Absolutely undrivable. Severe hesitation and bucking.

I'm also running IA80S (AT) with v3 and it seems fine to me. Still seem to have some throttle closures on partial throttle, but I've always had that so that's par for the course.

Let the ECU relearn (I bet you started driving right off the bat with the AC on right?)

Same thing here btw, give it a day or two of regular driving.

This is funny. It looks like the people who were experiencing throttle closures with the 2.03 maps are now running great (me, Alan)....

For the people with v3.00 maps currently loaded, have you noticed how the Instant Fuel Consumption Gauge no longer shows 6mpg at WOT, but 7mpg?

I am not talking about the average, calculated fuel consumption. I am talking about the instantaneous one. Prior to the v3.00 maps, my car was showing 6mpg @ WOT. Weird...

See, that's the thing though. Cobb said that the v3.00 maps are the same as v2.03 maps when it comes to tuning. They have only modified them so that they will work with the extra logging features for the new firmware...

On the side note: I like the v3.00 maps MUCH better than the v2.03 ones. The car has more linear power control and I am experiencing throttle closures less frequently and when they do occur, they are not as severe as before. Gas pedal no longer feels like an ON-OFF switch.

I can say that the v3.00 93 Octane feels very close to GIAC Stage 1 93 Octane. If they continue their work in this direction, very soon Cobb will surpass GIAC when it comes to driveability!

Maybe then they didn't change the fuel mapping...i was just guessing...maybe the dme adjusts that counter depending on conditions...how the heck did you figure it out i never look at that instant mpg value lol

I often leave OBC display on instantaneous fuel consumption mode. You can learn a lot about saving fuel when driving in the city by watching your instant fuel consumption gauge and noticing speed, gear and gas pedal position.

My only concern about 7mpg at WOT vs 6MPG at WOT *could* be running lean! The BMW stock software also runs at 6mpg at WOT, but Cobb is using less fuel? Hmmm...

Well we've got more than enough datalogging capabilities to figure it out right?

No, you're wrong. Ac was off. I can't even drive around slowly if I wanted to. Under absolutely minimal throttle I get wildly random surges and bursts of acceleration.

Cobb wtf?

I agree. You seem to be the only one with major issues. You don't own another tune do you? jkjkjk

Do you know what version BMW software you are on?
