I love how people believe there is something wrong with the setup of car, if they are not able to floor the car in any situation and not have the tires spin. Rest assured it's not the car with the issue. Gas pedals aren't off/on switches, and the laws of physics still exist.

FBIS man, what can I say I sure am jealous of your setup and no doubt will be in line for one soon...

Only thing I would change is to run a external wastegate dump and let her scream!

That just makes a mess and I don't want the car to sound like crap. I have heard so many sound so nasty and I love the sound of this car. I don't want to ruin it.

I've never been a fan of an external dump. Some like it though so we give the customer the option for either configuration.

FBIS-- Your car is getting buttoned up now. I think Mike may have some transport info for you later tonight

Haha, I love your signature. Legendary.
Has anyone ever done a N54 to M3 conversion? Given the wider torque band and potential for massive amounts of power, It shouldn't be too surprising if people start to do it...

Nothing personal, but that seems counter productive. I seriously doubt the M3 motor can do anything near the N54 without sinking huge money into it. The low cost to increase your power on the N54 is absolutely phenomenal.

I think you may have misunderstood what I was saying. I was asking if anyone has ever replaced the V8 in the E9x M3 with a N54....
Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Yeah I have a an external Dump right now, But I will be changing it to the routed version. It's very intense in many situations. The first time I drove it last week I was a bit terrified lol. didn't know what that Extra exhaust was... Its cool for now, but not long term.

Is the N54 in an 1M as strongly built as in the early versions. It's a question that I've had for weeks now...

It does sound brutal, nasty and bad ass a lot of time, but for many DD situations, its too much.

Curious about this as well. It's been rumored that the 09+ N54s stopped receiving forged internals.

I never understood why more people didn't do electronic cutouts for WG dump. That's what I'd do personally...hell raising at the flip of a switch...and the planting of a foot :P
