Yes, a few more crickets joined the other crickets; can't you hear them?
Like I said before, I know many of us are eagerly awaiting the SE/SI tuning option for the 335i/135i/535i/X6, etc., but we'll probably be on MY 2010 before we see this for our ODBII cars.

We have to make jokes and complaints about this initiative or it wouldn't be fair to the other tuners.
Things get delayed. People complain, swear its vapor, etc. Some of the time, products get released anyway (think Microsoft, eventually...). I hope this is that type of product.... and would love to see a tune that doesn't require a complicated procedure to raise the hood, remove bolts, remove cables, etc.... while keeping the core logic and state information in the ECU consistent. |

too bad even if it was hype and such,
V3, Jb3, SSTT and Dinan have really taken over and given more the 90% of tuners out there what they want and need. a good variety of choice. the interest and hype has fallen im sure. |

I'm still patiently waiting.
Hopefully this will debut before I'm an AARP member.

This sounded like the perfect answer to me when I first ran across it, almost too good to be true.
I really hope it is true and arrives on the scene, but without any new information and many missed (albeit speculative) dates, I'm not optimistic. I'd love to be surprised though. I think some of the existing tuners, and Jim C directly or indirectly, could add a new dimension. |

Any news on this? Should we consider it dead in the water?

Gotta stick up for Jim C and believe in HOPE...we all HOPE to have this product (as well as SI w/ "canned" tunes) ASAP...
Let's think 2 platforms - OBDI and OBDII...say 15 model years and minimum 6 ECUs per year? That means that Conforti has quite some analysis, development & programming to do...their key misstep was coming on this board and committing to a specific date that had to change. Let's keep Hope alive...

It is annoying though not to get an update when it would take them a whole 30 seconds to post one. If you don't like to post on forums, that's fine, but than you shouldn't post anything about your product months in advance IMO.

I agree with that. Gotta keep in mind that this happens with new stuff from a lot of vendors. The wait for PROcede V2 was pretty long and drawn out. Jim & company said early on that they don't frequent the forums, so I was surprised a the amount of posting he or his people did early on. Of course, it's been radio-silent for quite a while now. I was actually looking forward to the Shark Edit/Injector and would have bought it. I've seen other platforms (Audi, Chevy V8 custom twin turbo) where this kind of flash-tuning works really well. But I'm 100% content with my tune in it's current version, and it would take a "killer-app" to get me to switch at this point. I think a lot of vendors who read the forum have seen what happens to customer confidence when they "leak" or actually post teaser information and then don't deliver. You rarely see a vendor promising a release date anymore. IMO, Jim may have re-evaluated the N54 market and the proactive anti-tune stance BMW has taken and decided it's not worth his time to develop the finished product. |

absolutely great point.
Let's HOPE not...and agree we'd like to hear more about this -one way or the other...since we haven't gotten the product obituary, I remain hopeful. Sad day if OEM Innovation > Tuners' Inventiveness
