not internet explorer. here's precisely what happens

i go to my computer
left click the slave drive (D)
nothing shows on the left

if i double click it, explorer crashes and restarts itself

if i right click it and see its properties, it is just about nonexistent. 0 kb available and 0 kb used

i am confused because i've rebooted a couple times already and even switched IDE cables with it

ohhhh slave AKA D hardrive isn't used by the computer at ALL, it can be used when you are REFORMATTING the computer and you can move the space from D(if any) to C to have more space available for stuff. if the internet explorer keeps on crashing, download updates from the microsoft or just switch over to firefox/google chrome !

hahaha yea nerd talk is confusing,

D drive (slave drive) - just forget about it, has nothing to do with your computer

Internet explorer crashing - it can be caused by spyware or it being outdated version. I just suggest using mozzilla firefox or google chrome.

what do you mean by new copy of windows ? vista ?

most likely something went wrong during an installation that messed up the harddrives has happened to me twice when i was updating from XP home to XP PRO, just installed vista and solved the problem.
