What you said really didn't make any sense. So he 'retired' because his friends were just like him? Lol at 'buying SB's for no reason'.....if you don't buy SB's to skate in, then you're also 'buying them for no reason'. Hell some of you guys who paid $300+ for a pair of Tiffs or whatever are even scared to wear them, let alone even lace them up.

It's really funny to me how Nike can put out a terrible colorway, limit them to 500 pairs and you would have kids lining up and willing to pay whatever it costs. I remember when the first set of SB's dropped at Val Surf and it stayed there for months and months. Supas were on sale for ~$40 all day long.

FYI, if you didn't know....the definition of hypebeast is buying what's limited and 'in' at the moment. It's what us Niketalker say to make fun of kids on ISS.

oh. well i mean he was a hypebeast, until all these people started buying them. like a group of guys at school all bought a pair of takashi 2's and wore it on the same day. they buy em to collect, and not to skate. i guess that's just what everyone does. so it's like SB's are so common at school now. even the person you'd never expect would buy SB's. like this one kid, he bought some p-rod sb's and started telling me that yeah, they cost $150 and theyre so expensive...-_-. my friends have $300+ sb's :/.
yeah people are scared to wear them cause they don't wanna damage them. theyre for skating, but i dont get why people collect them :/ yeah i know what a hypebeast is lol.
oh my friend's dad owns a shop in little tokyo that sells these shoes, and they've got like 2 pairs of SB's that were never released going for $12k. yes. $12000 freaking dollars that's ridiculous

I saw an E92 M3 parked at the Burbank Mall. What sucks is that there was a big ass truck parked next to it that pretty much made it impossible for the M3 to pull out before the truck does.
