Do you plan on using it with Zwift or other training software? IOW, do you need a smart trainer?

I just started biking in December. I've been using the Kinetic Road Machine smart trainer and have not had any issues with it. It works fine as a basic smart trainer with Zwift. I don't recall seeing anything about compatibility with 120mm dropouts (you would have to check their available adapters). Some of the CycleOps mention they are 120mm compatible.

End of year stats. Well below the 5300 or so miles I did last year and below my 5000 mile goal, but I'll take it. I missed 8 weeks of riding due to travel and/or a cranky back. Still, not bad for an old fart. Hopefully the weather and my back cooperate this year so I can get more riding in.

I'm tempting fate and thinking about bike #4. This one will be a Trek Stache 7 trail bike. The 2019 models are on sale now. We have some decent trails and dirt roads in this area, so I could have a little more variety in my rides.

Details, details. Who should I be looking to for inner tubes? I replaced a tube about 3 rides ago. 100-85psi each time I go for only about 50 minutes. Granted it is carrying my 200lb fat ass

I went tubeless about 6 months ago and love it, if that's a viable option in the future I would go that route. I am 210lbs fwiw

Like, the solid core stuff? I asked at the local shop about that option, he talked me out of it saying it was extremely rough/uncomfortable to ride. I LOVE that option for my wheelbarrow! (yes, real wheelbarrow, the tire is solid)

I have put around 600 miles on this set so far and never looked back. Bonus is you can run lower pressures and never have to worry about pinching a tube. https://www.continental-tires.com/bi...d-prix-5000-tl
