Can you tell me (w/o revealing the meaning) if the Police codes are same-same across the US or has every state their own?

The meanings aren't OP-SEC. I could tell you the meaning. Codes vary between departments and definitely between states. The same applies to penal codes and vehicle codes.

So that means a Code 4 into LA for Situation clear isnt the same at...lets say Texas?

Some communication(s) might be similar/the same, but not all. Code 4 - No further assistance needed (...or something similar) - might have a similar meaning elsewhere, but might not apply everywhere. If I moved I would just need to relearn some things. Heck, if I moved to a department in the next city I would be in the same situation.

Plain English is used a lot, but we still use codes.

So, this goes back to when I got on the job in 1985.....then in 1990 I moved to Toronto PS who just talked on the radio like they were on the phone....it was an eye opener......I'll save you the googling thought...

I've called both CHP and local city for this camper parking on the street and living. The windows have multiple 72-hour warning stickers. Now they have a pile of trash behind them

All of our parking by-laws had a "if you can tag it you can tow it" authority. Surely there is a similar clause where you are.
