I'm a member on both and people are usually selling stuff all the time... more so on Fredmiranda.com

Ill check out those forums. Actually found an XTi and that lense through eBay putting me at about $650. XTi is a factory referb and the Lens is new and pulled out of a 40D kit.

I am usually pretty anal about ebay and check out the sellers pretty good. I will take extra caution with this though.

BOught the Canon XTi and the 28-135mm lens tonight. Need to pickup some CF cards since all I have are SD and some other misc items. I'm wayyyyyyyy excited now! I can see my hard drive filling up with thousands of pictures of my dogs now, LoL.

yay i can join this chat again! haha i tried to step away since i had no idea when you guys were talking about performance tunes and whatnot.

i myself have an xti. got it a couple years ago when it first came out. i honestly havent touched it since last summer. it was from taking it everywhere and shooting everything to now getting lazy to carry it places. i just havent invested in a nice lens (thats where all the quality is at) to be honest, its not much about what camera you get, its about the killer lens. and some good photoshop skills wouldnt hurt either.
