I started making a thread, but then I remembered that the forum doesn't like flickr's html links. >.<

Let me see if I can find an html to bbcode converter...

All is going mostly well. On the way home, I got a couple o2 sensor codes that i'm hoping will go away. All of this started because my st and lt fuel numbers were through the roof so the engine was over compensating for a leak somewhere. Hopefully this gasket fixed that because it had been leaking coolant and oil for years. But hopefully my cat isn't all messed up, or if it is I can just replace both with high flow and be on my way. Finally took me like 3 years to do something about it, and I got tired of resetting my SES light every time I had to get smogged.

If you've been running rich for a while, chances are the cat is clogged or melted. Easy check is to whack the cat and listen for broken pieces of substrate inside. I hope that gasket takes care of it. My E30's bad fuel ratio problems were mostly attributed to leaking gaskets, too.

I'll have to do that. I can't even tell you how long the light for the cat was on. And the car just smelled so massively rich because the fuel numbers were supposed to be around 3, and mine was at 56 lol. I'll give them a whack, (hard? just use a mallet?) and see what I hear.

Yeah, a moderate tap with something like a rubber mallet or even your hand will do. You'll hear what sounds like rocks inside.

It was pouring in Cupertino early this morning. Clouds can't make up their mind today.

Congrats!!

Speaking of e30's anyone seen this one? http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/1624128866.html
Looks like a somewhat outrageous price considering the condition. I would offer about 7-8k for something like that, or is it priced accordingly? Looks like it would make a great track car.

Good condition is like $15k+. Even the crappy ones have sold for $10k so it's in the ballpark.
