Those cattails look really super dry.
Great shot.

Iceland series = Really Cool!
Dave yes, the place is really dry. That's not unusual for this time of year, it's actually the most dangerous fire time. Usually by November though, we get some rain, and the geese and ducks show up by the thousands, which also brings the raptors by the hundreds. |

Great shot. Maybe the early arrival means the rains will come earlier.
Raining here, for the first time in weeks. Gotta order this year's snow tires...

Love the Iceland shots, #2 is particularly my favorite. Man I really need to go back there!
White-Fronted Goose shot is just wow, Ed. Love the bokeh and everything about it. |

Thanks for the positive comments.
Here is one of my fav's. It is a local Montreal bridge. I took this a while ago, so i have improved a bit since then.

And to keep the Iceland thing going here is another one. I was in the water for this shot. I converted it, as the colour version was pretty boring. Now that I look at it, it is a bit too contrasty.

My favorite time of the year, when the planes come by for the airshow.
Out of Elgin AFB in Florida.

Thank you, Dave! Yeah, hopefully Matthew keeps tracking east and away from the US coast as it has been.

Ed, I looked Calusa NWR up and it boasts some impressive numbers of wintering waterfowl. Is there a basin that you can get at to shoot a huge goose blast off or something like that?

The Sacramento complex is even bigger and just 20 miles up the road, so I always hit both when I go up. If you are visiting here in winter it is well worth the time to rent a car and head up there. About 2 hours from SF. |
