That's impressive. If I were the coach I'd be shaking your had. 5 mph walking is hard to do without transitioning to running.

Some coaches just like to bust your chops. They think it's a motivating technique. This technique works for some, but not for all.

I think it's believed that mostly old people play it and maybe they did but it's gaining popularity with younger players as well.

TBH, I never recorded a song off a transistor radio onto a tape recorder, but did record a song (and full albums) from the radio onto a cassette.
