I took this on my kayak, floating past my dock a couple weeks ago. I love the finger lakes.

Beautiful pics, druu! I'm looking for a compact for less thank $1k. How do you like your X70? Recommended? I just want manual controls and a fast versatile lens. I'd prefer a zoom, 24-70 f/2.8 equivalent. Any other recommendations?

I tended to bring full on canon kits or fuji kits with me on vacation. I bought an x70 for it's pocketability (esp for an aps-c sensor size) and instant posting abilities(these images were out of snapseed, didn't get around to full LR/PS editing yet, hence the slightly low res). i slapped the wclx70 on it which gives it a 21mm equivalent FOV which for stuff like this is fantastic.

I always tended to shoot primes except for with my UWA or my 70-200 so i was fine with just 2 focal lengths.

Wow! I didn't look for a few hours and there are tons of beautiful pictures up.

I want to particularly congratulate Alan on 50-years of wedded bliss. She's still a beautiful lady.

The more I play around with this secondary auto focus setting on a different button for auto point selection, the more I like it with the caveat that it is only for certain situations. I have now set up the * button on my 7D2 the same as my 5dIV. You hit the * button and it starts with your pre-selected point, then the camera takes over and tracks for you.

Wow, right on my way home today not 5 minutes from my house (not to mention 5 minutes from a high school and Trader Joes! Shot with what I had in the car, my 7D2 with an all in one Sigma on it, that I usually use for trains.

Good stuff Ed. I'll try that set-up on my 7D2 when I get back from Boston.
