So probably another idiotic question, but I need to ask as this is really the only sticking point for me versus getting for instance an SSTT...
When I do take the car into the dealer, the process of uninstalling, then having to reinstall the tune (what, every 3 months for oil change?)...how long does it physically take...Ive read 10-15 minutes, ive read 45 minutes, and I understand that it depends on your familiarity with a car...but for someone decently handy, is this a general pain every time I have to take the car in? (i.e...what tools should I stash away in the trunk to keep with at all times if something odd were to happen and I needed to get towed in...) and apologies again as I'm sure this question reeks of n00b, but thats what I am to this topic |

If thats not good enough for you, get the SSTT. Its way more convenient to remove if thats your main concern. If you get past that worry and realize that the Attache will give you a heap more power for only a couple hundred more, then give Helix a call and get on the list.

I don't even bother with uninstalling it. Especially if you're only going in there for an oil change. The only thing that would make me uninstall it when I go to the dealer would be if I needed some warranty work that is affiliated with the DME, otherwise, I just leave it in.

I have a request that I think would provide interesting results and generate more support for the Attache then there already is.
Is it possible for all of the beta testers to get a dyno done with the Attache? I am asking about this since it always seems that the tuners car has much higher numbers then the rest of the customers using the same product. This applies to every tune out there, and I am not naming specific ones so don't flame me. Do you guys think something like this is possible? Thanks in advance for any help or consideration.

Off topic: Is it OK to get the oil changed somewhere else besides the dealership?

I'd almost be willing to bet it was some bump or undulation you hit on good ol 295 that lit up the light for a second...it seems to happen pretty easily. Curious to see if you can repeat results. |

Well, hopefully some decide to. Especially the ones who have the Attache as their only mod.

I should be one of those. My car is completley stock with nothing done. And I already baselined at 300. Im using the same dyno as before when I get mine put in, the same SAE correction and all that jazz..and we should see what she puts out, crank hp wise. |

And 295 is pretty smooth. We werent blasting over the concrete expansions in the bridges and stuff..what idiot would do that lol. Hey Scott, your car really moved on 95 though...and thanks for rear fogging that asshat in the TSX that kept tailgating me. I cant wait to get mine to test auto vs 6mt.. |
