I like the water pics but you need better lens. Very informative site - Canon users.

I have this setup: 50D w/ 17-55 F/2.8 IS & 70-200 L F4 IS and a Nifty Fifty..
it is an expensive hobby to pick up...

Yea the stock lens isn't the best but I was pleasantly surprised with the shots I did get with some fiddling around with iso and focal length. Next upgrade will be a macro lens of some sort.

Its well worth it to get better lens....you'll be more surprise how the outcome will look. look at some of the samples by lens on the site. Some of the pictures are ultra sharp with the right techniques...

i should be taking photography classes but held off due to lack of time...

Start saving for it!! I spent 3k for my gear and heartily any for my car

... That really depends on camera brand preferences....Nikon or Canon. I prefer Canon, a camera w/o video shoot except for the 5D Mark II....shit...it cost 2500 just for the body....

yea im not trying to go that OD hahahahah im a beginner so prob spend a g on everything...

and i cant not get stuff for the car...

had the car a year now... (sept 20th is actually a year)..

I'm a novice too but I want something in the middle. You can go for a cheaper body but MUST get a good lens. My two lens costs 1G a piece

...so you know what the going rate on a good lens - Just like good wheels
