I put the buffer on #3 power. To high and I might pull Bimmers tail off. I used a black pad....soft one. I used a good dog soap. No tears. No sealer on the Bimmer......He wanted to go all natural.

Pat uses super absorbent pads. Sometimes heavy on those long months.

The cruise is great to see several places in one trip, but sometimes we prefer to hang out at one resort for the week instead. You can't beat the deals on cruises right now.

We prefer at least 4-5 night cruises because typically you lose the first day sailing out and the last day sailing in, so 2-3 days stopping off at different locations is just right for us. We enjoyed the Mexican Riviera cruises and the Caribbean. I went on one up the pacific coast to Victoria and would probably not recommend that one unless you prefer sight seeing in older towns with no beach and/or sun.
thanks for the info. we are checking out NCL and Royal Caribbean. so far I like what I see.

what buffer do you have.....the pads will say how aggressive they are. The wool pad is the bad boy....all the way up to the black pad....very soft. Each company has there own color code. It also depends on the polish you have and or wax, sealant, glaze you have.

As far as a clinic, IM always open to do that. One on one or a group hug.

I have the PC buffer with a velcro and adhesive backer (M&M tool sells these btw, don't know if you went up there).

Where do you get them? Which brand do you recommend?

I do all my orders through Detailed Image. They are a sponsor on the wash and detail thread here on e90. They break down what all the different pads do. Plus this is for every one, I get good discounts from them because I have a business account with them. So if you find stuff you want on their site let me know and I can save you some money.

M&M does not carry the backing plate I needed.

What all of this plumbing and forced induction produces is 555 hp at 6,000 rpm and 500 lb-ft of torque from 1500 to 5,650 rpm with reportedly no perceivable lag.

I'll take the V-10 turbo when it hits the M5, thanks.

It was inevitable. ///M had to move to forced induction with current and coming requirements for fuel economy, and other constraints.

If they are going to keep upping the power, eventually they'd either have to go with FI or drop a big block 427 under the hood. I don't think a 427 would allow for the desired handling of an ///M, but I'd love to see what they could do with that much displacement!!

BTW, for those that never got into the american muscle cars, a 427 is about a 7 liter engine!

It's gonna make a turbo upgrade a little tough on that car. However, even the toughest mod addict might be cool with stock turbos if they're getting 600+hp.......yeah right.
