528 huh...what happened to the 535/550/M5?

how would you compare the 5 vs. 3? (minus the engine disadvantage of the 5...)

528 was what they had. At a minimum I'd do a 535, maybe a 550, def an M5 if business picks up!

The car is very comfortable, and the perfect combination of sporty and family. There is plenty of room for a baby seat or two in the back, and tons of room for rear seat passengers. The handling on the 528 was outstanding for a larger car, certainly not as nimble as a 3 series, but hey, it's a good bit larger. I would have to do a sport suspension on it, or go the M route, but I think we have a winner.

Adding to the likelyhood of me getting a 5 series in the future is a WAF of 10. She loved it. I told her it will be a stick of course, and she was cool with that too. She wants to keep a bimmer in the stable for some "fun to drive" action. As long as she doesn't hit the next one with the garage door...

BTW, if you ever see a BMW headed north on 215 on the east side at about 120mph, "get out da way!" - it's my wife headed to the hospital.

So, I like the space, I like the handling, the interior is classic BMW (spartan, to say the least), but the 528 engine sucks. Barely beat a ford explorer off the line

As for the outside, I was not a fan when the car first came out. The stock / base 5 series reminds me of someone with a serious overbite or no chin. I would need to address that with a factory body kit of one sort or another. I really like the 550 with the sport kit, but I need to drive the 550 and the 535 to compare. I know I'll love the M5, but that will be a simple function of cash.

I was looking at that and the 550 with the sport options. Interestingly, wifey wants to lease, not buy. She likes a new car every few years. That opens the door for the 535, as I'd never buy one. Damn HPFP.

My plan runs about $92 a month after taxes and fees - I have the 400 minute plan (I don't talk a lot and with rollover, I have tons of minutes), unlimited text, and the required data plan. Unlimited text is $20 of that total, if I remember correctly, so depending on your talk/text needs there's some flexibility there.

I can't get the upgrade price until December, so I'll probably stick with the existing 3G with the 3.0 upgrade until then. I don't think the 3Gs is worth the full-price update now.

i would switch to at&t for that phone if everyone i knew wasn't on freakin verizon (which is what we have)

Jo's the same way...free if the person you're calling is on verizon. She has 900 or some crazy number of minutes now because everyone that she hasn't heard from in a while is now calling. Think it's $60/month. And new every 2 was yesterday. Wonder if she'll be able to make a decision.

We have a nationwide 2100 minute plan with a $77 base and we pay around $150 to $180 per month. There is only 1 iphone on our account which adds $30 per month to the base rate. I think we get a 20% corporate discount ATM which is only applied to the base rate plan.

I have two phones on my plan, both iPhones. We split 500 min per month, both have unlimited text and Internet. Total comes to 180 each month.

I got the letter. Now figure everything else on a bimmer. They're not the most reliable cars.

Mine is $99/mo for my iPhone with 900 minutes / month. I still have a discount through my old company. That includes unlimited text and data.

My BlackBerry was exactly the same price with AT&T.

Verizon will have the iPhone soon. That's why AT&T dropped the price. The exclusive contract is over in less than 1 year I think....
