Right near there yes. I have a buddy that lives out in that creepy marina.

Thanks.

Try planting some flowers that they like. I try not to do feeder shots, unless the bird is rare for my area. Hunting them in the wild can be fun. I usually hear them first and then try to track them down. If it weren't for the noise that some of them make, I'd never find one.

We actually planted a lot of our yard with hummers in mind. I don't like feeder shots either, but they will rest on the nearby branches and that is where I try to get them. It's been hard the last couple of years because the yard has been in a constant state of construction and my patio shade has been non-existent, but hopefully that will change soon.

I know you know this, but a resting perch near the feeder should be placed so that the background is blue sky or green foliage. That makes for super bokeh.

Here's one of mine that got picked up by Travel & Leisure, Bravo TV and stolen by another one or two for commercial usage. (My lawyer is chomping at the bit, but we have to wait for Getty to decide if they'll sue).

Great details. I like these empty background shots. They really frame the subject and make you look at closely at the subject.

Thanks. Just ordered a Aquatech waterhousing for my 5ds. I'll be getting some in water photos pretty soon. I have a panama / bocas del toros trip in June.

Sorry I've not been posting much recently, so busy with holidays and family stuff.
Some really great images from everyone here.

Just catching up with some images from a few days ago. Here's a shot taken on our East Beach a while before sunrise. I was awake early and the sky looked promising so I popped down to the beach. Actually, as the sun came up a lot of the colours faded, but I thought you might like to see this.
