Wouldn't be the worst idea to just fill up with the blend completely, burn off some with your commute and let it learn while doing some pulls and then hit the track. I know how much gas I use every day, you could spec it so youd be between 1/2 and 1/4 when you were doing your drag runs and bring a can with you to top off if you use too much(get a lot of runs).

Optional obviously, but makes filling up easy and also gives the DME some learn time
Hmm ok I'll take that in consideration. Because I don't really commute my car. I take the bus for work lol.

Like I did plan to make sure my gas runs through the line so it uses the E30 mixes by the time I switch tunes.

Brings me to this question, should I switch to E30 map right away or wait.

And once done with the drag I don't recall, was it ok to use E30 mix with regular stage 2+ ?

Its really not a huge deal on these motors if you are using an OTS tune and your ethanol content is off around 5-10 points. However if you have e30 in the tank and try and run a pump tune you'll likely get mixture codes, but wont really hurt anything.

My first year running E40 was on a stock car with DCI's, and calculating E content based on a tester tube. Car ran great and had no issues, I just made sure to log fuel pressures and timing.

Yeah, definitely just flash when you fill, the car will compensate for the very brief amount of time its not seeing enough ethanol. Don't make this more complicated than you already have

I've ran E30/40 on a regular pump tune without issues, you'll just have your short and long terms adding fuel to compensate the mixture.

It won't hurt anything, you might get a mixture code(as stated above) but personally id just leave the E30 tune on it until you've filled up again.

Also, sorry to hear about your daily commute. I'd be a wreck if I didn't get to drive my car everyday.

Ok perfect sounds good.

Aand yeah haha... honnestly it's mainly because I don't want to put to much milleage on it to. But also, parking is like 15$ a day. Plus factor in fuel + maintenance. Gets expensive real quick.

I mean, I understand that, thats just my normal with a car. The parking cost would suck everyday. I just do my best to not live or work in an area that neuters me from being able to enjoy my car. I also would never keep miles off something to keep the value up, thats like not banging your girl so she is tighter for the next guy, these cars are made to be driven and enjoyed.

Trust, I understand gas and maintenance costs, I commute 105 miles round trip 5 days a week. Worth it.

10k miles? Nice, me too. When did you get yours?

I just clicked 154k miles, got the car with 144k miles. In the middle of February, this year.

Do you on the mileage thing, I always have good luck using something a lot rather than minimally, usually drives better and needs less but i hardly ever am able to keep miles off cars, so hard to compare.

Omg guys tried it tonight the car does have a noticeable difference from stage+ to e30 WOW I'm in love.

I'm hitting 16.1 PSI boost and like up to 8 timing. Wooow. And it seems my logs look pretty good fuel pump and correction wise. Never goes under 64 PSI

One or 2 logs has up to 2.7 corrections on one cyl but on other logs they are all zero.

Lol...

Let me save you some research on running E85:

Stage 0
- Routine FBO + Maintenance: Valve cover, coils, plugs, DCI, CP, FMIC, BOV/upgraded DVs, index 12s, strong HPFP hitting 1500 psi minimum on E60

Stage 1
- bucketless stage 2
- OTS E60 map

Stage 2
- E60 custom tune
- NGK 97506 at .018-.020 gap
- Inlets
- 3.5 bar TMAP

Stage 3
- Precision Raceworks coils

Stage 4
- Turbo upgrade
- Port injection

Ethanol is definitely addicting. Pretty sure I will upgrade from by Walbro 450 to duels soon.

Just ordered a set of Precision Raceworks coils. Shipped out the same day from Texas. Awesome service so far.

My coil packs started randomly dying over the past few weeks one by one and I ran out of replacements lol

Easy and fast install. Hardest part was removing the wire case. Well, opening it.

if u want power get a custom tune, much better bang for your buck than adding downpipes or a stg2 lpfp WedgePerformance is the man u wanna talk to for a custom tune

Thanks. I watched the video from PR on YouTube. Looks doable for sure.

I’m also going to be running it plug and play since PR doesn’t recommend flashing the option in MHD below 550 whp to avoid over driving the coils / reducing spark plug life.

I did not know this. I will be flashing this morning to uncheck it. Thanks!

Easy install overall but the tray and bolts gave me a hard time. All tidied up now with the wire loom installed too (not in pic).

It totally cleaned up my high rpm timing corrections. Looked like my stock coils (only a few months old) couldn't keep up. Now it pulls like a freight train at all RPM levels and no misfires!!
