Bought in 1983 with money I saved from 2 paper routes: 1973 Dodge Duster with a slant 6
I wanted a blue 1969 Charger 440 but could not afford it.

1993 Nissan Maxima.
It had automatic seatbelts and was pretty quick for the time. This I believe is also when Nissan coined the "4DSC (4 door sports car)" concept. This is also when Nissan was building good, fun to drive cars. Eventually I blew the transmission just by driving it too hard.

Had a gold one myself, nothing but a headache (repairs) but a fun car.

1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS Spyder, 5 spd. All show, no go, but I loved that thing. Added 17" 5Zigen Copse wheels in hypersilver, roll bar and a turbo wing. This is back in 2003.

1981 Ford Escort Pony (GT interior throughout) couple 5MT. Wrecked it and bought a 1981 AMC General Mail Jeep 850.00 wrecked into a tree after hitting black ice in MI Winters. 1990 Pontiac 6000 Beige with Alpine CD Deck and no hubcaps. My pride and joy to own was a 1993 Acura Integra GS-R (AEM Intake, Magnaflow exhaust, BFG a bit wider then OEM) handled like on rails!

Was 17 back in 1987 when I got it,1974 Mercury Comet w optional rusted out floors(feet would get wet if it was raining, boombox w 18 D-cell batteries for music,no heater-core and brake lights that would or would not work depending on how heavy traffic was smh..The one in the picture was what I had except that one looks mint compared to mine.
Damn do I miss that car!

My old 1988 Celica All-Trac Turbo circa 2003 or so.
Rally homologation special and ultimately way too cool for me as a first car. I managed to cover all my bases though and both over AND understeer it into ditches on separate occasions. 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 with 190 hp and AWD isn't really anything to write home about by today's standards, but in the early 2000's it was near WRX performance at a sub $3K price point. |

I had two.
1984 AMC Eagle 1979 Datsun 280ZX The Eagle was a beater but would go through just about anything. The Datsun was mint, but motor went due to faulty oil pump. |
