Some damn good responses in this thread.
Overrated Wheel spacers: wheels should be riding on the hub, not a thin machined piece of aluminum. Fix your offset problems with properly-designed wheels. Black wheels: Doesn't provide any contrast with paint/trim and generally doesn't photograph well. They don't do your wheel wells justice. Expensive H8-based LED Halo upgrades for E92/E93: The light pipes in the E92/3 housing doesn't work with these as well as they do on the LCI E90. The LED light is either washed out by the sun or doesn't illuminate the rings in a uniform fashion. OEM LCI E92 LED halos clown on the older design. LCI LED taillights for E92: They look cheap and don't follow the original lines of the pre-LCI tails. The DRL light pipes are orange-ish and wash out in daylight. Carbon fiber "appearance" mods: The next great overhyped automotive fad. Just paint it. Underrated Component speakers for the front doors: It's remarkable how easy it is to improve on the factory speakers, even for you L7 guys. Mods4cars RemoteKey: There's a lot of value in opening the sunroof remotely, folding the mirrors with a double-tap of the door handle and never again asking your passengers to pull the handle twice to open the door. Good tires: Put your suspension to work, find a little more confidence at speed and never buy cheap rubber again. Clear bra: Keep your OEM paint looking pristine and makes bug cleanup duty a breeze. Synthetic sealant: Reduces the amount of embedded contaminants in your paint, acts as a filler for micro-marring and makes it easier to dry after washing. Apply once every two months and you can just top it with polish to maintain that amazing look. |

Overrated: Mtec front bumper (I never liked it, but the rear looks good)
Underrated: Shadow line trim (I WANT I WANT) Useless: iDrive (expensive, various errors/problems, and makes your dash look like a camels back). I will want one though when they get the iPod interface that was announced

[QUOTE=Imperator;7941848]Some damn good responses in this thread.
Overrated Wheel spacers: wheels should be riding on the hub, not a thin machined piece of aluminum. Fix your offset problems with properly-designed wheels. Totally disagree with this one! Its a great mod for those that want to keep their OEM wheel and clean up the look. There are no integrity issues with a properly designed spacer. |
