I don't know why you'd bother trying to make a point, and then go ahead and invalidate it with such a lame attempt at wit.

Define "useless". IIRC Froyo, which is real, still has more functions, or "uses" than an iPhone, even the "4", which has yet to actually be released.

How is that? Are you on T-Mobile or AT&T and exactly how bad is the 3G issue which people seem to want to point out? I'm actually thinking of getting that phone real soon.

He meant useless to him, because he's clueless where to even start. All he knows how to do on his phone is make a phone call, because that's what the thing is supposed to do, damnit!

I've never had more dropped calls than I had with my iPhones....

Me too. I've also never had a phone with weaker vibration or a wimpier speakerphone...

Yeah now that you mention it, they were pretty bad, but wasn't the speakerphone volume upped with the 3GS? I can't remember now.... It's been a while. Also, I'm one of those people who never has my ringer on unless I'm at home and waiting for an important call, so not being able to feel the phone vibrate in my pocket was pretty annoying. But they were pretty fun, and all were appreciating assets.

They did increase the speakerphone volume in the 3G S, but it still doesn't scream at me like my Droid does. You're right about iPhones being appreciating assets, it's pretty great to actually make a profit off of a used cell phone

Agreed, the vibe on my BB Bold was terrible.

Wow actually.
I'm on T-Mobile with the Nexus One. 3G reception is no better or worse than I've had with previous phones. I've previously had Cingular, AT&T, and Sprint as carriers, and couldn't get adequate reception at my home with any of them, so I switched to T-Mobile. There are spots were 3G is not available, but it's not bad, and better than I previously had with any other carrier.

BTW, I got the benchmark up to 41 MFLOPS, although the one I posted above is about average. My phone is stock, and that seems to be about the average for a stock N1 running Android 2.2.

I really like the N1, and froyo only made it better. The only fatal flaw I've found is that the AM-OLED screen isn't readable at all in direct sunlight. It's that bad, completely illegible. The screen is absolutely brilliant in every other setting however.

It'll still probably be slower than the Nexus One with Android 2.2.

We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Oh, without a doubt. The Nexus One is an absolute beast. Even if the A4 in the iP4 is running at 1GHz, I don't think it'll be able to touch the Nexus One.

We'll have to see I guess, since we don't have exact processor specifications yet. Oh, and before someone posts this:

http://www.anandtech.com/show/3633/a...han-snapdragon

That's Android 2.1.

I wouldn't imagine it'll be as fast as the iPad out of the box, that's kind of a slap in the face of iPad users.
