Any reason why my car felt slower under Autotune maps as opposed to the DIC maps?

You might have been running too aggressive for your conditions / mods. If you log and everything looks spot on and too conservative then you can always increase the aggression value.

I still have a V4 and want to try out these latest V5 BETA files, will it work or do I need anything else? Plan is to update to probably version 2.5 over winter, but wanted to try this out first.

I read that and no clarification was given on how to determine which hardware rev I have (2a or 2b).

READ ME FIRST!
IMPORTANT:
In this last production run of Procedes (for those who just received their Procedes in the past week), we made a change to the fuel control circuitry. Which gives us considerably more AFR adjustment range. But this also results in having to use different maps. So you will have to identify what Procede hardware revision you have by following this guideline:

-If you received your new Procede unit after May 24th, 2011, you have the new updated Rev.2b.
-If you received your new Procede since before that date (as the vast majority of you have), you have the original Rev.2a. Obviously, this applies to all people who have purchased used Procedes as well.

Please use the appropriate map (Rev.2a or Rev.2b) as running the wrong map on your Procede will result in your running either too rich or too lean under boost. Nothing dangerous but just not optimal for drivability/performance. We will be posting up a DIY guide on how to convert a Rev.2a to a Rev.2b within the next two weeks.

*If you have an older (pre Dec 2010) harness, it is highly recommended that yo do this update: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...39&postcount=1. While it's not absolutely mandatory, it will likely improve drivability and fuel economy. Having these o2 modifier wires is no longer necessary since CANclear is active.

Thanks, info on the reva to b was not in the read me I have. Really appreciate your help. Then I think that may be why I have a 11170 code. I loaded rev b. I will load rev a and try again.

you should open a separate thread for your issue. that code does not show up on any thread on this forum . You should get it read by BMW diagnostic/BT tool.
