Hi 808AWD325xi,

As you know, I have followed your DIY here to a T to get my set up running. INPA is currently working.

I decided to try and code on my digital speedometer today - I was following the NCS_DIY.pdf step by step as it carefully outlines, when it comes to loading the profile "Expertmode" my NCSExpert does not have that exact profile name available, I'm guessing because of the 'custom' profiles we copy over when following your DIY?

Anyways because of this I loaded the profile "Expertenmodus" and carried on with the instructions as described.

After saving a profile as "FZG4.PFL" with the profile name edited to "FSW PSW MAN" and loading it, when trying to select CAS module under E89, my NCSExpert fails to load the FA string and gives the attached error - how can I correct this?

I have already double checked my settings under device manager for COM1, both regular COM1 and Serial COM1, FIFO filters enabled, buffers set to 8, latency set to 1ms for the Serial COM1...

thanks

You have a JB4 piggyback? That CoAPI 2062 error can be caused by the JB4 if it's not set to map 0.

That's exactly what it was lol I realized it like 2 mins after posting.

Disabled my JB4 and off to coding I was.

Just successfully enabled my digital speedometer (when you disable the speed correction it shows the ACTUAL speed right?)

And disabled my iDrive disclaimer

Going to work on a few others now....

Okay so now I am trying to disable my TPMS (my winter wheels do not have sensors in them, my summer wheels do.... sick of having the light constantly on in my dashboard)...

I unplugged the TMPS/RDC module from above my battery area.

Now I am trying to remove $2VB from my VO...

I am following the NCS_Changing_the_Vehicle_Order_CAS.pdf guide...

After completing Step 6 where you select your chassis, my NCS Expert does not load my FG or FA like it shows in the .pdf, and I don't have to hit "Back" like it says to do so in Step 7 because of this failure.

There is no error message, it just doesn't load..

What is wrong now/how can I correct this?

Yes I realize I will have to recode some of the other things I have done once I remove $2VB from the VO and also code the CAS, DSC, KOMBI, CAPPL, NFRM modules

Okay so I ended up getting my TPMS disabled by getting NCS Expert to load my Chassis in a round-about way not explained in the .pdf....

Now that that is taken care of. the last problem I have is as follows:

I am currently getting errors for both of my daytime running/parking lamps even though they are working fine. (see attached pics for CC-ID messages, iDrive error descriptions and FRM error codes).

I want to disable the error checks for these bulbs because it is annoying every time I start the car it chimes and has to cycle through showing both errors before they clear from the cluster - then just the little caution triangle stays on.

These are the last errors I have left on the car.

Now because my car is a 2007 e92 (12/2006 build date) [USA built car, now being driven in Canada] it has from what I understand whats known as an FRM1 module? in my iDrive I have a setting to turn daytime running lights on or off but it doesn't matter what I set it too these errors still show up....

And because it is an e92 the daytime running/parking lamps are actually different bulbs than the ones on an e90 from what I understand?

Because of all these technicalities - I am not sure what I have to code to disable the error checks for these bulbs. Can anyone please help/point me in the right direction? All I have been able to find has been info for the newer cars 2011+

I have also attached my .txt file from reading my FRM module so you can see what my current settings are.

as you can see I have already done the following: yet the errors still persist...

nicht_aktiv

Just set both of those to nicht_aktiv and my errors are still present... I will post an updated file with my current settings later, I'm just at work now.

Any other options I can try to clear these errors?

EDIT: latest file added.

This DIY has been a great help. I got everything working in inpa except when i choose engine n47 it says 'Requested control unit D71N47C0' not found. It is strange as i can see the file in the ecu together with similar ones.

Any one fixed this before?

I setup my software to work with E89 files for my E92.

What's the procedure for being able to read/code other chassis too (ie. E39/E46/E60)? Do I just copy the IPO files from the downloaded SPDaten folder into \NCSExper\SGDAT\E39 + Daten files into \NCSEXPER\DATEN\E39 + PRG files into \EDIABAS\Ecu\E39 or is there something more to this?

Same question here - do you need to redo the the procedures for WinKFP import, etc.? How do you handle overwrite requests?

Ive managed to find BMW Rheingold 3.41.10, yes its on a Russian website but just let Google do its thing and translate. It does install in English and its a P2P file.

Here's the link and you will have to join the forum to see it

http://rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4678145

Please don't PM me with any technical question pertaining to this as I am still learning myself.

Any more details on the installation of this program, will you need bmw standard tools installed for this to work or will this conflict with the bmw standard tools?

Can you elaborate? I had a friend set up their system using this guide, but whenever they read module/DME errors out with INPA, the results are in German. The majority of the rest of the program is in English, though.
