arent the posted speed limit signs on the off/on ramps suggested and not actual? If its a white sign, its the actal, if yellow, its suggested?

curiosity has me, going to google....been toying with proper exit speed lately....

Hell yeah. I'm curious too. Lots of times I double that speed limit on exit and on-ramps.

answer: it can go either way... but if he gave you a X mph in a Y (yellow sign speed) zone, then you can argue in court that while you may be deserving of a "going too fast for conditions" ticket, (a curve, since it is explicitly stated in law that you must slow down for curves to avoid danger), you shouldnt be getting a speeding ticket that specifies miles per hour over.

as I found on a legal website:

Glenard A. Munson, California Driver Education Association, driveteach@statewide-driving-school.com
02/20/2007
The easy answer would be in reference to the universal, "Basic Speed Law",
which states that no driver may drive faster than safe for existing conditions.
The "advisory" speed tab indicates a "safe and prudent" speed; thus, can be
used as prima facie evidence of speeding, irrespective of ANY speed limit sign.

on the other hand,

technically speaking, federally mandated is the idea that white signs are mandatory and yellow signs are recommended, but not directly enforceable as the official speed limit. So the only rule that governs them is basic speed rule, which is listed above...

states cannot decide that yellow signs are the law, but they can enforce basic speed law outside of that, just as you can get pulled over in the winter for going 20 under the speed limit as "too fast for conditions" while still being within the speed limit

basically fight it and youll have a chance. if the speed limit is (x) and you were doing (x) on the off ramp you might have a shot

Who the hell are you Carlos? You sound like a fuckin Cubs fan.

Get rid of Urlacher??? Would you have gotten rid of Sid Luckman, Gale Sayers, Dick Butkus, Walter Payton, Mike Singletary, Dan Hampton?

Urlacher is the X factor in games, even if he is in a down year stats wise. Remember he hasn't played 100% healthy in the last 2 years and he still helps the defense shut down teams. Don't forget he's also the play caller and makes all the adjustments at the line to set up plays, it's hard to replace a guy who does that as well as he does, hes an on the field coach.

If he is truly out for the season (I'm hearing rumors that him being out all season might also not be 100% true) then the Bears will probably sign Derrek Brooks for a year and move Briggs into MLB until Urlacher is back or next season.
