When the light's good and the subject doesn't move too fast, the 7D2 is hard to beat.
For my Canon-buddies, where's the 7D3??? With an improved sensor and updated AF, it'd be a killer camera for wildlife.

With them starting to switch to mirrorless, I don't have high hopes for that to ever appear. On the plus side, I just upgraded my A9 to version 5

My sense is that it's a huge upgrade, but I'll really need to test it with some fast flying subjects. Dave

I'm going to try to get to the Travis AFB airshow this weekend and play with it. Not super challenging, but it is the slow season for interesting birds around here.

I took this while landing in Singapore a few weeks ago. Not a great photo, but I love watching aerodynamics in action!

Went to a fundraising event at a winery raising money for Bird Rescue of Sonoma County, and they had some of their ambassadors there to see while tasting. This pretty gal is 36 years old!

Looks like a keeper to me. Great shot.
(Check the horizon. Looks like an ocean is sliding right to left). Dave

The Davenport Crack on a heavy surf day. For this photo, I was standing barefoot in the middle of the creek in ~3" of water but had to restart the long exposure timer when the water was suddenly up to my thighs. I didn't expect this since the opening to the crack was ~150' away. Now that I look at the vegetation on the rock wall, I should have planned better!
