Got my JBSpeed front lip and grille installed, also installed a new fog light housing that was full of water and installed ziza yellow bulbs from ecstuning! Waiting on my warranty replacement dtec bulbs for the halos as the previous ones died prematurely. |

Struts
Hey guys. I'm from Edmonton and I have a 09 335 msport rwd. My front struts are leaking badly and need to be replaced. I ordered a set of OEM struts from a forum member and they are currently on their way from North Carolina. I have a hoist at home and was going to get my dad to help me put them on but they are still on their way and he's leaving the country for a month .
So, I was wondering if anyone one here could lend a hand, I can help you in the process and I can pay for your help in money, booze, anything else? lol. OR If anyone knows a good shop that can do this for cheap and could refer me that works too!. I think Eurasia quoted me 600 + 200 alignment which I think is kinda ridiculous. |

Just joined this forum. Bought a late-year 2011 335i X-Drive with the Performance Edition in Jerez Black. Didn't get driven till February 2012, very low KMs, and has been babied since purchase with full dealer servicing. Looking forward to picking it up on Friday! I should get 4 weeks before it snows, happy i don't live in freakin' Calgary.
Had 3-series beamers in the UK, always enjoyed them. Moved to Canada nearly 6 years ago and have had SUVs and a convertible 2012 Mustang GT, which was fun but a bit basic. Decided to sell my 2013 RAM Sport truck and go back to a proper AWD car, the fact is i wasn't using the truck as a truck apart from going fishing, it was more about enjoying the V8. Which was fun but a waste of gas. So thoughts so far...remember I haven't picked the car up yet. Edmonton BMW...not quite like the experience I had in the UK with previous beamers where they were excellent to deal with. I guess there are many more on the road in the UK than in Edmonton which means having a BMW isn't such a big deal as it seems to be here. Got the impression that Edmonton BMW weren't all that bothered about me, due to not not dropping $80k. Got the impression that the sales guy should be working in Londonderry Dodge instead of Edmonton BMW. Maybe i caught him in a bad week. If you've dealt with Edmonton BMW would like to hear your experiences. So when it comes to picking up the beamer on Friday. I'm going to spend the whole day driving it around, getting to know it, probably up and down Groat Rd a few times. Expect it'll be a long day On Tuesday have an appointment at Auto Details to have an inspection on the paint and see what they can do for a polish etc. They seem to get good reviews - if anyone has recommendations on detailing shops, please share your thoughts. After that, i'll be looking to do a few mods. Need to have a search of the forums but would welcome some suggestions...and more importantly where to get them done. Cheers

anyone selling an oem set of wheels, looking to throw some winters on them, let me know
thanks ps. stuaboard, congrats on the new car! edmonton bmw was a joke to deal with when i was in the process of purchasing my last vehicle, very pushy and wanting me to sign right then and there. pretty much yelling. i ended up getting my vehicle from victoria and i will gladly return, great customer service and not pushy at all. check out auto obsessed they deal with all sorts of high end vehicles, thats what i would suggest.

EdmBMW, think i'll be having a word with their GM - the Sales Manager was even worse than the muppet trying to sign me up. He'd do well selling door-to-door vacuum cleaners in the UK. I called Auto Obsessed yesterday, but was pretty surprised at their quote for a polish. He was very good to talk to, but said it was $100 p/h with a usual minimum of 14 hours...

New Member / Quick question
Hello: New member here that has just returned to BMW after many years away. Last BMW I bought (1969? Schnitzer 2002 Ti), was from Walter, (G.M.) at T&T BMW when they were on 17th avenue in Calgary and they helped import the Getrag 5 speed monster. Started with 2000 Ti (fugly), 1968 1600Ti, then square tail light 2002Ti, Tii, 2002ti Alpina, 3.0 litre Bavaria (sweet long range cruiser), 3.0 CSI, then slipped to Porsche, THEN daughters showed up ha ha, and cars became more sedate with Audis' popular. Wow have times changed!
Just sold the wife's 2008 Audi TT, (with painfully low mileage and I took a beating on selling it), as she was not driving it, {totally unsuitable for winter and she freaked at people getting too close parking it Lol}.... Well totally impractical so I bought here a very low km black 2012 328x drive. Nice options nav, exec options, hole in roof et al. I have had the car detailed and cut polished and it looks great. The original owner trashed the factory wheels and I was about to have them resurfaced when I saw how cheap "take-offs" were. I am looking for a set but my question: are these odd widths front to rear on this car?. They are 19s' and I would just like to replace them as I like the look. Can I run a slightly wider set?. I am guessing 335 BMW wheel set ups are slightly more aggressive?. If so, anyone have a set willing to part with?. Glad to be "on board" and am enjoying getting caught up since my departure. Thanks All Last edited by Rockdoc; 09-14-2014 at 09:46 PM.. |

Fyi there is a grand opening going on at Vitek Autowerkz on Saturday in Calgary. They are a BMW Indy shop. Excellent work. The one foreman runs a 335i and the owner an M5. They are having a BBQ and car show there from 11-3 I believe. I'll be heading up there for it. At 300-40th Ave NE.
