Flippin' houses in the current economy can't be a great idea can it? I mean it's a buyer's market, thus the reason your seeing so many great "deals." You wanna flip houses right before the economy goes back up because there are more people selling than there are buying right now.

not really because you can purchase a house for way below asking and flipping can take time, my dad has done 3 hours in the last year and has been able to flip them because of little detials that he add that allows him to sell it. hes not looking to make millions off one house, just enough to make back his money and some profit, his last flip netted him 10k which is really good, because he bought in a location that was sought after and because he does real estate was able to help people get loans to purchase the house

kudos to your pops...i'm just worried about the what if's. Like what if it takes awhile to sell...two mortgages would be killer.

When I was the branch manager I could. The current broker I clear through doesn't let me play with the pricing.

A-HEM!

Yeah, flipping houses in this market isn't adviseable unless you really know what you are doing. Now, if you have the means, it is a buyer's market. Buy low/sell high, right. If you can buy someplace, rent it out and hang on to it for a year or two, now we're talking.

That's not to say it can't be done as Mark has shown. But most people are morons.

I've bought 4 small SF homes in the past 1.5 years. None cost me more than $35k. They are all pieces of shit and I gladly admit to being a slumlord to section 8 renters. I've done some rehabbing and they are all rented and cash flowing now. The government pays great and on time!

Yea they'll give u a loaner but i think they'll want it back the same day if they're not busy. U could always bring ur car in late Friday and hope they drag abd you'll have the car for the weekend. Why do u want one again?

yeah I talked to andre about that, I have it all weekend cuz I'm coming home for a wedding and wont have time to come back there till sunday. I'm just dropping it off and putting the keys in the night drop box for them.

I was just wondering if they give crappy loaners. I mean i don't expect an M6 but i'd be nice to have a 5 series or something... just wondering what they normally give out.
