The car, with nearly every option, except automatic... ZPP, ZMP, Nav, Alarm, Xi, comes to $56,600. Total sticker is just a hair over $60k
you can get a 2 year old CPO M5 with <12000 miles for that price!

New 5er?

No, we aren't getting a new sedan, at least not an Audi. I can't give up someone paying for my maintenance at least not yet.

I agree, CPO M5 with low miles > than all that extra stuff

So we have Cody up north, Scott in Draper, and me where ever...

What do we want to eat?

Yea, or a new 335 coupe. Or slightly used 535. or a 5 year old 760li. It all depends on what you want.

I love the M5. But im not even close to being in the age/income bracket to even think about it. I still love my 3 series anyway.

I'm off tomorrow, so I'm downtown. There is a new place called Vinto on 200 S just east of 400 E that I've been wanting to try, but I'm totally up for anywhere else too.

Lunch was good. Great service at that place. Don't think I ever was able to take the last drink out of my coke without having a new one in front of me.

I've decided Scott is picking places to eat...he seems to know all of the good spots.

Thanks you!

And for Jo (and anyone else who would like it) here is my Cranberry Sauce recipe:

1/2 cup port wine (ruby port works best, although tawny works too)
1/4 cup orange juice
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup gran marnier or cointreau (orange liqueur)
1/3 cup granulated sugar (you can add more if you like a sweeter final product)
2-3 oranges
1 12 oz. bag cranberries
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Zest the oranges, then cut off skin and cut into supremes (segments without the skin or pith). Chop the segments coarsely.

Combine sugar, water, orange juice, port wine, cointreau and sugar in a medium sauce pan over medium heat until boiling lightly and sugar is dissolved.

Add chopped oranges, fresh ginger and cranberries to the liquid and continue cooking while the fruit breaks down. Using a wooden spoon or spatula to stir and mash the berries helps a lot (this takes 20-25 minutes).

Add the spices and cook on low heat for another 10 minutes. Turn off heat and allow to cool enough to transfer to a tupperware and chill in the refrigerator for 5-6 hours to thicken (I like to make it a day ahead and chill it overnight).

Can be served warm or cold.
