I know some of you here are also in the SoCal thread so be sure to spread the word so people there know what they're dealing with.

At the same time, a less adept poster might see the agenda right away, since the simple mind looks for the simplest answer, while the complicated mind looks for a complicated answer.
What a load of crap! You got caught lying and now you're trying to get out of it with yet another lie. Nice work removing the 530 from your sig and changing your flag from Phillipines to India and getting into another battle elsewhere.

I'm not saying you personally can't afford your car, you might be a millionaire. I just think a lot of people who lease can't actually afford the car. Hope that makes sense.

He's changed his flag to Indian now, removed the 530 from his sig, and is currently engaged in battle with someone else in another thread. He's been well and truly exposed and is trying to back-peddle by spewing even more crap!

That is almost exactly what Xeloj was saying that got so many people disagreeing with him and that led to the recent chain of events.

I never said anyone personally couldn't, I'm just saying it usually is the case so if he was saying that then I agree.

Anyway this thread is full of people who want to fight, I'm out of here.

Just curioius, but why is it that the people who did get a lease are the ones being defensive? I dont seey why they should be. If you feel its right for you then the hell with what anyone thinks.

I happened to purchase mine, but I would not presume to say thats right for everyone..

Exactly my point. I just came into this thread and everyone with a lease is attacking me out of the blue. There's a lot of insecure people leasing in this thread.

You said you were out of here. Back already?
You say everyone with a lease is attacking you out of the blue? Really? Aren't they (no more than a couple of people) just disagreeing with your (familiar sounding) comments? Looks like all you've done is to troll and insult and fight with people throught the forum since you joined it a few hours ago.
OK guys, Alabama_Man joined the forum a few hours ago, has made mostly negative and insulting posts in other threads in the forum and pissed a bunch of people off and then landed here. Check his post history. Obviously a troll out to cause trouble. Sounds a lot like Xeloj to me.

Because the thread title is "Why leasing doesn't make sense" rather than something neutral like "Which do you prefer? Leasing or Buying?". Leasers tried to present their point of view and tried to explain that the OP's contrived lease examples were not grounded in reality. The OP then proceded to lie and insult anyone that disagreed with him, just like in other threads where the same person resorted to lies and insults after starting threads attacking the 335i. So, the ones (leasers, 335i owners) being attacked were the ones that put up a defense. If someone started a thread titled "Why buying doesn't make sense" would you not try to present your side and get defensive if you were then insulted and told you were stupid and ignorant because of your preference?

You have a serious mental issue. I've actually been a long time lurker and I'm a member of a popular M5 board.

I thought I'd join here and enjoy some chat about cars but it seems 335i leasers like yourself are just super defensive children. Leave me alone.

You've just been busted in the other threads you've been trolling in as well now. Best to give it up! I suggest you leave everyone in the forum alone.

Alabama Man and Xeloj might be the same person.

Writing style is similar.

One thread started by Xeloj:
Headlights without Amber Reflectors, cool or not?

Two threads started by Alabama Man:
Cool or not: Putting a "Ron Paul 08" sticker on your Bimmer?
Cool or not: Street Racing a 3 Series

That would mean leasing. There are a few little things to be alert to, though: The lease acquisition fee and the lease disposition fee add up to about $1K. That could affect the financial comparison.
Again what you say is tempting, but I say keep them separated. The car is a total waste of money, like going to Las Vegas. You go there knowing you will lose, and you play for fun with what you can afford to lose.

Last year was bad for real estate, and the S&P 500 did a meager 3.5%. There are no 60 mo. car loans for 3.5%, not even the Navy FCU. Everything got clobbered starting in late Oct. There are years in which everything could do down, and so far this month, that's the way it's looking. It's a tale as old as Jack and the Beanstalk--you set out to the BMW dealership with 25k to put as a downpayment, and instead, you invest it, and either lease, or put nothing down and have a $943/mo. payment when it could have been $471. What if you had chosen real estate last year? Or you did something after Oct. 2007 where most sectors lost, that's really sticking it to yourself.

That's just my way of looking at it, one cannot always leverage themselves through life and think it's as easy as Google money. It truly isn't. Pure luxury purchases imho should be based on income, not whether one can meet a monthly payment.

I dont disagree with your opinion, I just wonder why there is so much defensiveness. I understand hes being a jackass, but dropping to his level is giving him exactly what he wants IMO. I personally would not give him that satisfaction by letting him see me pissed off..

That was a good explanation. A lot of people here are too defensive it makes discussing a subject uncomfortable.

Its definitely the way he says things. You should read his posts since he joined yesterday. All he's done is to be rude and insulting and piss people off across the forum. Of all the other threads in the forum that this "newbie" could have participated in he chose this one. A coincidence? I think not. IMHO, he came here on a mission. Anyway, I'll let you judge for yourself. Xeloj hung himself due to his post history. This "newbie" will do the same.
