He has a dyno machine in his shop so Im guessing he has dynoèd in the past. Last time I talked to him he said he was putting down 320 at the wheels.

Also you are right , he does not sell parts as far as I know , he pretty much does his own thing. I heard him saying that when he first got his N52 he had to custom fit an E46 header since noone was making them, he even said that he was able to put out more power with his custom headers than he was with the super spring headers for the n52.

He had also made his own custom tune for his N52 which took him weeks as he has able to optimized power delivery to the 100th (rpm).

If you are in canada , i m sure he can do magic with your n52 but it ain`t going to be cheap.

Doesn't look super labor intensive to change, but who knows. I hope the wait and cost are worth it, thanks for being the first one in (haha!) and getting the feet wet!

Ha

Yeah, but it looks easy to muck something up with all the little pieces to dick with. So to speak.

And it's totally worth it if the head doesn't abuse the bottom end. (Phrasing!)

If we get some ponies out of it, so much the better. It's a science experiment. A damn expensive science experiment though....

Ya got me, dunno. I'd guess they might have it on the dyno this evening as fast as they're progressing. Will let y'all know.

The AA stage 3 tune has been running for a long time, no changes planned in the near term.

You'll have to probably get that info from Hass and do some dataloggin to make any real changes.

We'll see what the difference in dynos shows and then investigate tweaking the DME.

looks great! I wonder if it's possible to procure blank cams that haven't been ground at the factory.. somebody manufactures these for BMW!

I think you will see some gains by default, but yes you'll want to optimize it. Don't be surprised if it's not a big difference by itself. I'd imagine VANOS would need to be tuned as well and maybe even DISA transitions depending on how it affects VE.

It would be nice if the torque curve to be expanded 10% to a redline of 7500-7700rpm. That would make a nice power difference.

It's ready to dyno now, not expecting significant gains until it adapts over 100mi or so. Scheduling race exhaust fabrication with a before and after dyno for next Monday or the Monday after that. Then we'll have dynos before and after cam install and after cam adaptation as well as before and after race exhaust installation.

Pulled cams are boxed and ready to pick up and ship to you, pm with addy and I'll get them out this week. It would help to know the turnaround so I can let Todd know when to expect them, if possible.

Would be helpful to eventually get the relevant DME parameters and some information on register location for the shop to flash it here, assuming I can get physical parameters from Todd to flash with.

Maybe. Shop texted a little while ago they were ready for me to come up their and flash the DME before the dyno run but he'd forgotten I'd have to wait on that so they could go ahead and run it without flashing the DME. Not sure if they have it tied down or not. If not tonight then definitely tomorrow.

Just got a text they'll run the dyno first thing in the morning. They get to the shop at seven thirty so I expected they might be headed out by now.

ok, it shouldn't take long - I have a jig set up already to measure them.

if you can get me your stock DME file or even software version I should be able to find the locations. MSV80 is a little different but the values are all still there and they are the same as MSV70 since the cams are the same too.
